If a player wants to come to a shit club, you make it happen.

We ain’t no destination club, so we have to honour trades where the player is keen.

In my humble opinion, that’s why we have McGovern - not because SOS is Jerky McJerkface.

Dow LOB Lang - 3 of them not enough of the pill.

Lang out, I'd be tempted to drop Dow, just seems off the boil, give him a rest.

In Cripps, how did Deluca go?

Very happy to see JSOS stepping up and it looks like Kennedy has found his spot up forward.

Pick 28 and then some, that wasn’t meant to be his spot up forward, he’s supposed to be part of the midfield.

If he has to be doing McGoverns job as a third forward, then that spot has cost us an absolute bomb in draft picks.

Thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon with Moshe25 at the"G". The previous comments were pretty much on board and my 2 cents worth
Pros
Jack and Levi were so good.
Walsh is amazing for a player so young.
Settlefield and Kennedy showed more
Beijing part of the crowd as they lifted as one when we hit the front.
Cons
#11 does so little, no presence at all - the Tarzan-Jane syndrome.
Again it is men against boys in the middle. One man beating two leaving an outside to receive the ball.
Still too much poor decision making.
Murphy's game last week was the exception
Kreuzer is not a tap ruckman but does work so hard.
Cannot give teams 5 goal starts and expect to win consistently.

If it wasn’t for Kreuzer roving his own crumbs in the first half (because of our non existent midfield) we would have been so far out of the game it wouldn’t have been funny.

He was Herculean in his efforts.

Don’t get sucked in by the end score.

Pros
JSOS
Walsh
Setters
Murphy- stuck some tackles

I disagree re: Setterfield. Needs to go back to the seconds and actually find more of the ball, use it efficiently and get out of a jog. I don't know why we have to carry players.

It would have been daylight robbery if we won that game - entertaining game just need to clean a few things up missing star power didn't help. Jack and Walsh were fantastic.

SPS and Fisher were not firing on all cylinders and that perpetual inconsistency heading into their fourth year albeit worrying need another big pre season. Can't let their guard down so consistently.

LOB and Dow need time of course.

They had 3 injured on the bench in the last quarter. Flattering result.

Even on a good day Jones tends to cost us at least one goal due to basic skill errors or a lack of awareness.
Today he was pretty bad - I wonder how Goddard might perform in his role?

He just disrespects his opponent too often...way too much leg rope.

The 2nd qtr one where he ran 30 metres to try to impact a 4 on 4 and left McDonald out the back 20 from goal was just plain dumb.

What a very strange game.

Pros:

Willingness to keep working to the end.
Scoring efficiency.
SOJ's best game.
Casboult, Weiters, Kreuzer, Thomas, Murphy.
Cameos from Kennedy and Setterfield.

Cons:

The kicking out of defence was horrible.
And how many times did we have a player in space who would then miss an easy handball? It's not that hard a skill. Can only assume we were spooked by the opposition pressure and aggression.
Jones was rancid. McGovern little better.
Stack of players who just couldn't get near the ball until the 2nd half. Most disappointed with SPS.

One thing I was pleased with was the crowd. 55.000 for 17th v 16th was outstanding. When we get going the league better watch out.

Mcgovern goes better with Curnow and McKay in the forward line, without them he is the central target and I agree he wasn't up to it today. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
