In the mid 90's....

a good mate of mine was drumming in
a Van Halen tribute show...he was amazing...!

one day he called and said he'd been replaced...
i couldn't believe it...!

then he told me the new guy was Virgil Donati...
it wasn't Steve's fault...!

kindest regards tommi

Last night showed that unless the CFC performs brilliantly for the rest of the year to give Teague the job, Clarkson really is the man, all emotions aside.

And I think Clarkson is a bastard.

he's clever enough to make it look like he was forced to leave, if that's what he wants.
as in, had no choice, they wanted to go with a rebuild etc...

I think it adds to his resume. it isn't the whole resume.

What I think has happened is that Teague has knocked out any untried coach. He has at least some runs on the board.
But Clarko, Ratten, Voss would all have to be considered. When I say that, I mean give Clarko whatever he wants to take the job.

I seem to remember similar statements being made about Pagan and Malthouse.

Pagan and Malthouse were both passed it. Pagan was also dealt a dud hand.
Clarko is massive flower but not passed. Still a quality coach and will be for some time.

if Lyon is favoured, and Teague keeps producing, could be similar to the Swans/Wallace/Roos scenario

Look at yesterday's showdown.
I hate that rumour.
Anyway I don't think it is correct since I spoke with someone at the club
Shove it right up yer jumper.
Carlton stands against creepy old men.

Virgil Donati is a maestro, Ross Lyon is no maestro.

If Lyon is Lars Ulrich, doesn't that mean we would enjoy unprecedented success and popularity despite him being crap? Maybe we should sign him, then.

Imo, the critical thing - for better or worse - is how powerful our Senior (and some not so senior) players are.

Make no mistake, Bolton was doing the right thing, based on the agreed plan. HOWEVER.... he had to go because..... he'd lost the players, particularly Cripps, C. Curnow, Thomas, Simpson, and possibly Murphy. If you're not sure, watch replays of the GWS, St Kilda, and Essendon** games.

If Teague sticks to the plan AND maintains the support of the group, which he definitely has atm, he's in like Flynn....

Nah. I get the Clarko Teague replacement thing Tommi,
But
Is it correct?
Could Teague be the new maverick? Our very own maverick?
I think he might be.
Source?
Blueman
Our own eyes
The vibe
Happy players showing their wares.
Happy supporters liking everything about him.

Lars was always a better tennis player...chose the profession that had fewer vices, so maybe made the right call.
