He's a good on field leader but his footy days are behind him.
That's a win for us.
Put Fisher on him and see how he goes trying to keep up.
My tactic would be to play through his man, regardless of who it is.

I wish cripps and Curnow were playing. It'd be the closest we have had to a dead set cert for years

Fisher odds on to be on the wrong end of a "clumsy tackle" if that happens.

Who do we have that is closest to expendable. Lang?

Braydon Preuss is not playing for Casey this afternoon (assume on standby in case Gawn doesn't come up)

Gawn isn't playing. I hope he does coz he is nowhere near fit enough with that ankle.

No Gawn hopefully

Need more pace on the G to spread them a bit

You want Lang in and Guv out?
Why?

Cause Guv has done SFA but is considered the elephant in the room when discussing demotion
Also, with Gawn possibly out, Kruezer and Casboult can ruck/pinch hit fwd
I had forgotten about Cunningham though...hopefully he was just being managed bc of the hard WA surface

So, I'll revise it to
Out: Curnow Gov
In: Kerr Cunningham (if fit, otherwise Lang)
I think Guv is struggling, I agree, but he's done some good things and offers a target and gives impact. I'm hoping he'll give a great response soon. I think he's capable. But I hear you.

Geez we just beat Freo at home with a man down and 3 top players out plus Cunners.
Of course we will win!

If we can control their mids we will win, they have better inside players in Viney, Jones, Brayshaw and Oliver. I think our backs and forwards stack up better than theirs, control their inside mids and we should be ok. Need to play them on the outside and eliminate stoppages. Spread them wide and use our pace.

The set-ups will be very interesting. Do we let Ed and Murphy hunt the ball again and put Jack onto Oliver?
Our small forward set up was excellent last week. Reminiscent of Richmond 2017. Personally, I'd like to see it again. Players like Lewis should get found out if we can get the match ups on our terms.

On news they said Jones has a sore calf and had a fitness test, didn't complete training apparently

Cottrell could get a debut. Looks like they're going to attempt to run the Dees off their feet.
As long as we can win the ball first. :|

Then you'd think the news about Jones is untrue. They wouldn't play all the emergencies if a player didn't get through training. :?
