Kerr has had an average season in the VFL. There may be some mitigating circumstances (unbalanced team selection, coaching changes, maybe carrying an injury etc), but it may be that he has dropped his head a little bit. It may also be that he is, you know, not that good. I doubt they will axe McGovern for him.

Given it’s unlikely Charlie, Cripps & Harry will be available, I reckon there will only be one change:

In - Cunningham
Out - Charlie (inj)

I get the impression the current regime is more open to swapping a short for a tall in our forward line. Casboult & McGovern as our main targets, with SOJ/Setterfield/Kennedy rolling through as the 3rd option.

If Cunningham is unavailable, it’s then a choice between Garlett, Lang, DeLuca, Cottrell, Polson (inj?) & Owies (eligible?). I would try Garlett - he may be a surprise packet under Teague as a forward/winger.

We can win this.
Bring a physical game and Melbourne won't like it.

Won't win without Cripps. Let's see if he comes up

After similar ankle injuries I would be staggered if he played let alone be able to walk properly

He is a chance to play if you believe the club's injury update.

Heading back to China next week so I plan to go to the game on Sunday. Keen to catch up with any TC people. Any ideas where to sit at the "G" so as to be with fellow Blues supporters?

So Cripps is a test and Cunningham is a test.

Those are the only two injured players who are likely to feature as replacements.

Otherwise, I'm actually tempted to give Garlett a run. Melbourne are slow, and he looked okay on the weekend playing as a small forward.

One team will win by more than 6 goals. Hopefully it is us. If they get an early run we may not get let back in. If we get on top they will crumble. My biggest worry is that i have actual genuine belief we will win and i am going to a mates place to watch it.

Last weekend the Demons were competitive against the Lions (at the Gabba) up to just before 3qtr time. They beat the Dockers the previous week and a few weeks ago should have beaten the Crows in Darwin. They look a better side with May in defence.
Really hope Cripps is OK to play as I think we will need him. Also hope Gawn doesn't come up for the match and am banking on us being more desperate for the win. Fingers crossed.

In that case, I hope he plays....

The corresponding game last year was a horror show.

Most probably Cripps only , but we’ll be a considerably stronger and a good chance to win a very tough game. Demons are no push overs, but last week’s win at Optus Oval was a real watershed for CFC a turning point to greater success.

The game this time last year against Fremantle was also a horror show.
