Great time to bitch about the one guy on our list who can stay fit for more than a month.

Seriously, did we have a practice game against the Dallas Cowboys last week?

Seem too tall... And too slow.
Pros.
Kruezer won't tap to Cripps...
Con.
He won't hit whoever he taps to...
Pro.
We'll definitely see Charlie in the middle
Con.
That will likey leave Caz and Gibbons as forward targets
Pros.
Jack should get midfield time... That's just a pro...

Should be an interesting game.... Also an interesting test for game day strategies for Teague

Go Blues

To have any chance of even being competitive, murph and Ed have to play on ball majority of the game.

Going in with a mix of Dow, Fisher and sps against Mundy and fyfe would be a suicide mission.

SPS is going ok, needs to go to another level I agree though.

Thanks to our stupidly unbalanced list we have literally no one to replace him.

Three important outs due to injury yet not one of them has been mentioned in the club's injury report.

having nightmares about what Fyfe and Mundy are going to do to our midfield without Cripps in it.

amazing how much we rely on one player, it's almost like not replacing Bryce Gibbs was a pretty big mistake.

After the Bulldogs played keepings off with us last week, I'm having visions of a 150-200 differential in disposals.

This is the problem.
If you have this mindset, how will the players feel?
He is one player. If three others rotate through his position, it will throw the Freo defensive midfield setup out of kilter. They have been training all week to counter Cripps and now they have no idea who will take up the cudgel and how they are going to rotate their defensive positioning. Ed will still be there to counter Fyfe.
It's a bummer of a position to be in BUT this is when players make their names.
What happens if SPS gets 35 again?
We recruited Setterfield to be a inside mid but so far he hasn't had much of it because Cripps is always in there.
Kennedy can do it but hasn't had a run at it because f injury.
Nobody has to be Cripps. If Kennedy comes in and gets 20 possessions and Setterfield, SPS and Murphy get a few extra each, there's your 30 possessions covered.
I haven't even mentioned Walsh.
It's Cripps's inspirational leadership that is difficult to replace. I'm guessing Simmo will be Captain. Now there's a man we can look up to.

SPS’s 36 possessions came off the back of about 20 handball receives from Cripps.

What happens if he gets 35 this week?

Nothing happens - it will be his third (maybe fourth) 30plus possession game in his 50 game career.

What were you expecting, views of the Sydney Opera House, herds of wildebeests thundering across the veldt, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon perhaps.

At least all of those. They're more likely than a bit of positive thinking from yourself, sir.

5:30pm Sunday night in Perth on Foxtel only - makes it very easy to deny this game ever happened

How do we lose more players to injury after the bye than before it?
3 of my favourites out...

2 games with 12 possessions or less out of the past 5. I suspect Cripps has been carrying the injury for a while.
Perhaps the club has taken the long term view and given him time to get over it properly. That decision may have been made late in the week (after the injury report) as it didn't settle down. Same with McKay.

I'm hoping they'll be back next week and the club had just decided to kinda write this one off.

Hard surface in Perth might have had something to do with the decision as well.
