I really dont get you....

If Lance was loyal how come we had to keep upping our offer to keep him?
How good do you think Lance was last year?
Do you think he was the envy of other clubs or was he great because he was O.K last year after 3 lean seasons??

Which leads me back to low standards set by these blokes swallowed hook line and sinker by supporters who have low standards again.

As for Livo.. he isnt pretending to be a champion... hes a guy fighting for his spot.. but at least he is doing everything possible to grab his spot instead of sucking us in with a couple of OK performances and a distant memory of yesteyear.. and a few half a million dollar contracts in succesion...

Lance will struggle again... he will do ok if other players play the starring roles in the power positions .He will play on the fringe and sometimes slip away..... and some will tell us what a gun he is!!!

Yep bring on 2006.. games to the kids.., and another handfull of potential stars on the end of it .

Our only way forward!!!

You never have...oh...that was last year!

But didn't he drop in pay? I dunno??? You know the pay scales of every player on the list. I thought Whitnall was on $600,000 last year so if "we" were upping our offer he must be on $800,000 or $900,000 per year now right? How much did we "up" the offer, and from what base?

Third best.

This line means what? It is false logic. The "lean" seasons are based on what exactly..."potential"???

Again...based on "potential"??? What are you basing your arguement on?? Zip. Zero. Nothing. Crap.

Ah...so it's whose fault? Have you read anything Bainuzz has written? I'm guessing not. Half a million dollar contracts in succession have nothing to do with the players. All they can do is put out on the field, and the financial market will take care of the rest...get used to it...that is modern football.

And...? Some other players will play good. Others will play shit. Yadee yadee yahdahh. Who signs the pay cheques?

verbs i saw out 2005 the way i saw in 2006 which is a reflection of what will be this year.
You did the same.

Im glad you have a grip on reality.

I love your little arguments... for each point.

Lance was 3rd best last year? based on what our best and fairest?... which is accurate and indicative how?and what relevance does it have considering who has won it over the last few years?.
he took a pay cut to 400k??... well maybe you should take a look around and see what you can get for 400k in the real world.. and at other clubs??.. and see how Lance can possibly be worth 400k on what he does.. (Cant play KPP and were buying him and creating a spot for him in our team)...So i think youre the one with the false logic..!!!.(which is nothing new)... i really dont know how you even exist with the way that you think.. its kind of like a weird Descarte.. I agree with what you are saying in regard to Lance's pay, Synbad. I think the club backed down because they were resigned to losing Camporeale and didn't know whether they would retain Lappin.

The cards just fell Lance's way. I'd bet that the club was scared of the impact on membership if they lost Whitnall. Imagine the outcry if we had finished last and lost 3 senior players. Serious questions would have been asked.

I can see it from the club's point of view. Not saying I agree with what we are paying Lance, but I can see the circumstances that contributed to it happening

So many C graders, you would think we must hit the jackpot with one, however the odds are we won't and some god forsaken interstate team will pluck a Dean Cox or Ben Rutten off the rookie list
I just hope the guys who have shown a little take the giant leap forward, namely, Waite, Fisher, Simpson, T-bird, Walker and possibly Bentick, we need to get lucky with some of these guys. These are more B graders to me.
Trent Sporn was so dissapointing in 05 maybe he will come good. I do think Raso will be the guy who will go well this year.
My basic 2006 philosopy is I expect nothing and I'm only to be pleasantly surprised. It's worked so far Campo's gone.

We have potentail B graders eg Wiggins, Davies, Sporn

- quote]

That's one of the funniest things that I have ever read. Wiggins a possible "b" grader? No no no no no no way. Unless the B stands for Bullants then he is a shoe in.

For me Davies is the one who has the talent to lift himself to be a B to A grader. All he needs is time on the field. With that confidence will come. Pagan needs to give him full games on the ball.

Anybody drafted and on an AFL list can be a b grader.. or around abouts a b grader.
Its the A grader thats hard to get.. and develop..

I have no doubts that just about every player on our list can be a B grader...some of it is confidence.. some is to be played the right way...

Every player has shown something to be drafted onto an AFL list.

I dont think Livingston should be playing each week. Pagan should pick and choose the weeks that he plays Livo. Only play him on the big lumbering full forwards(Bradshaw,Gehrig, both Roccas,Q.Lynch,Richardson,Lade,Neitz). Those that prefer to sit in the fwd 50 and wrestle rather than lead up the ground. If you put him on a FF with a bit of pace he'll get carved up each time.

blah, blah, blah..... I didn't read anything you said.

My question is this:

Why are you allowed to have an avatar so big?

Thanks for the insightful response. I hope the size of my avatar no longer makes you feel inadequate :-D
