If Daisy doesn't hit the post, and Suckling doesn't kick one out of his backside, we win. Also Samo had a chance to kick to two players in board with under 2 mins to go but the Bolts drilling got the better of him and he went back and kicked down the line.

We paid the price for being so terrible for too long in the first half. Always had to keep the opposition from scoring after coming from 6 goals down.

McGovern was like a cross between Corey McKernan and Shuan Hampson....who both had eyesight issues and flew half an hour too early for marks. He was a liability all night. You get the feeling he'll always be a low possession guy who plays in 5 minute bursts. Definitely not a $700k man.

We played a good half's worth of footy. They did too.
Theirs was a little better.
Two poor teams.

Looking for moments where we could have won the game. How about playing more than 30 mins of football to start with.

Sick of making excuses for this team. Need to crack in fronm1st siren not wait till backs against the wall before they wake the @#$%&! up

Poor start again, good Teams would not even give us a look in if we start like last week or tonight.

So flat footed, no run, no dare and very little pressure.

Don't blame the umpires, yes there were poor decisions for both Teams. They were clearly the better team however we managed to dominate two periods of the game but it wasn't enough.

See, someone needed to be handling the Lepinski file.

The truth is Gov would actually play really well in defence if all our other failed forwards weren’t already back there.

It's a different Carlton. In what universe do we kick 100, kick 5 goals in 8 min, come from 34pts down twice and lose by 3pts. Found a way to lose, just managed to do it differently.

Suppose it will take a while to get used to a new game plan.

Pros:
Kept trying and kicked a score.
Charlie, Ed, Casboult, Simmo, Murph, Daisy.
Really encouraging performances from LOB, Setterfield and Cuningham.
Marchbank was pretty good.
2nd half of Cripps and SPS. (Although they were fairly invisible in the first half.)

Cons:

The fairly feeble start to the game. Also those goals against the flow late in the 3rd were really costly.
Defense were scored against far too easily. I think we really miss Jones' speed off the mark against leading forwards.
Bulldog players catapulting themselves to the ground in marking contests to 'win' 50 metre penalties.
Weitering had a shocker. Can't believe he was included in the 'bests' on the AFL site.
McGovern wasn't much better. Had a chance to get a bag himself, but was completely off in those aerial contests.
Thought Gibbons ball use was pretty disappointing.

Cripps cost us one in the 2nd too.
