sounds like murphy is ok as well...

will they keep the side unchanged and force murphy back via the reserves?

Now that Bolton is gone I'm looking forward to the rest of the year.We might not win every game but at least we will finally see green shoots and why the kids were drafted in the first place. I'm not sure if it's Teague or the club directive but at we will see a more entertaining and flourishing game with a more common sense approach and structure.

I am worried that Murph will come back in and stuff things up. I know it's irrational. Hopefully, he will lift with the rest of the team.
LOB was good. I'd like to see him in and his confidence to keep growing.

would you swap murphy for setters? - I know its not the long term plan but not sure who else would go after last week.
(this is much more fun than usual when you feel like changing 3/4 of the team...)

or go smaller and take out McGovern?

Not Gov. I love gov in the team. he'll only get better.
Setters needs game time too.
It's actually Murph who doesn't need game time. Question is, who is he a better substitute for?
He can be great at times, don't get me wrong. It's the inconsistency I don't like. Usually just when you need him to stand up the most.

What if Gov shaved his moustache? Would you be as keen then?

Exactly what I was thinking. Go in with an unchanged side if there are no injuries.

Murphy is our second most prolific mid. He was playing shit because our game was shit. He has put up with more than any other player ever since he has come into this team and deserves a bit of respect. Try putting up with the bumps and bruises he has been through for all of his playing career. fmd you guys no one was favoured by that shitty game plan look at what a week with freedom has done to the other players that were rubbished the whole year.

Apart from that crap shot for goal, Setterfield had a pretty reasonable day at the office. He is starting to track the footy a lot better. It will be a hard decision to make if they bring Murphy straight back. That has to be a good thing.
SPS should stay as well. I have been on his back on here for his lack of penetration but in the last quarter against Brisbane he was playing pretty well. He, like others needs game time under the new regime to get his confidence back.
I'm glad I don't have to make the decisions and it'll get harder from here, especially now the NB are back on the winners' list.

Just watched the R5 game. It was a decent win helped along by shite kicking by them and SPS's best game for us.
Polson was playing as was Jones and Murphy but no Setterfield, no Charlie. Otherwise, I think it's the same side we will field this week.
SPS should be made to sit down one on one with Teague or Cripps or even Doc to watch that game. He was unstoppable and barely made a disposal error. If it were me, I'd watch that and them tell him to go out and get as many possessions as he can and just enjoy himself.
Bont was well down on the back of SPS and Cripps, who also had a blinder. Harry marked everything he could reach and a couple he couldn't reach. Jones played well at FB, Levi marked well and kicked three.
They ran it at every opportunity.

If they bring last week's effort to this game there is no reason they can't win it.

I wouldn’t label him a prolific mid these days. The rest is well said though.

So based on his 2019 form would you bring him straight in this week and if so for who? I don’t see any options personally. Setters, LOB and SPS all played too well last week to be dropped.

if Murphy is fit he will be picked ahead of setters, LOB, SPS, Dow.

My preference is he takes an extra week plus the bye to be conservative with his recovery and give the successful boys an extra week to back it up. Reward their performance.

BUT IF he does come in the stats indicate it should be Setters but Marc doesn’t play in the middle anymore so the balance isn’t right.

SPS stats are line ball.

His stats are technically superior to LOB and Dow but that was the best games from them for the season so far.

Take an extra couple of weeks Murph. Support the kids.

Against the team that SPS annihilated with 35 quality possies last time. Genius move. Have you sent your CV to the club?

SPS has been pinch hitting as the 7th defender so I doubt he will be moved on for Murphy. It's more likely one of the wingmen or half forwards. (O'Brien, Setterfield, Cuningham, Jack) He could replace Dow in the midfield rotation but with cracked ribs, I have my doubts. Unless Setterfield moves into the middle and Dow goes out.

Should replace Dow. 13 disposals as a midfielder in a winning team. Four defenders got more. Only 6 in the second half including 1 in the last quarter and some people are saying that he played well. Had a shocker the week before. If Murphy is fit he has to play.
