How F*** embarrassing last night to see the Club president having a go at Judd and saying I don't even know what he does at the club.... Is this for real???

The Entire Board needs to resign... we are sick of those Clowns..... Take your money and just leave us alone.....

Where was this comment made???

“I don’t know what Chris Judd has done,” Maclure said. “I work in a business where people question us every day. The numbers come through and if they are not so good why aren’t they on the phone to them? Why aren’t they asking where are we at here?

“I’m not certain whether Chris Judd has done that or not. He’s the director of football and I don’t think he’s even been there.”

So the Club president didn't have a go at Judd nor did he say he doesn't even know what he does at the club?

Personally, I’m embarrassed and mostly disappointed by the decision of the club today as it wreaks of “old Carlton” and I feel we are once again taking a step backwards to “allegedly” go forwards.

How can the board hold its head up when they are the one’s that made the decision to hire an assistant coach as head coach that has had no AFL playing experience. Then change 56 players in 3 years, remove pretty much all experienced players from our list and decimate our midfield fully knowing the new rule changes with runners and the need for experience. And as the final straw of incompetence and lack of proving we have changed at the top they chose to publicly sack a decent bloke rather than give him the opportunity to walk away like Brad Scott. A smarter decision would have been getting in another Neil Craig for him not a geriatric Walls that the game has passed by.

Some on here might think this is good for the club and I get the need for wins, but what if Teague doesn’t get any more wins for the year and we are no better off (which is most likely as he has done wonders for our forwards thus far), then what…sack everyone? To me this is a sad day and another blight on our once great club.

And my greatest fear is that we start loosing good kids like Crippa (even though OR thinks he’ll stay), you could see clearly how devastated he was losing his mentor in the presser. We better hope BB doesn’t move west as an assistant. And I’m pretty sure there will be more kids in the same boat questioning our club, contracted or not. And what about Andrew Russel who came across most likely for BB.

Let’s just hope I’m wrong with the above and things change, otherwise you can forget us attracting any A grade midfield talent at the end of the year and then we are still on the same journey as Mark has conveniently pointed out in the presser and no better off.

If any one has questioned the integrity and passion Bolton has for our club and the players, then tell me what sacked coach would sit through 20min of that uninspiring and sometimes contradicting dribble by Mark and Cain.

Let’s just hope the powers to be don’t hire Brad Scott because to me this is another Malthouse decision. And if they do, I will still follow the club but I will not be renewing any of the memberships in my house.

Good luck Bolts on your new future and please don’t take too many players or flog us too much at what ever club you go to.

Nothing like the old Carlton. The old Carlton would have sacked him 12 months ago. This was no knee-jerk reaction A great bloke, but not a great coach. What was the game plan? The players on Sunday weren't motivated. If they tried their best and lost - fine. Sunday was pathetic. Poor effort, poor decision making, poor skills from the players and poor coaching from the box. Given what has happened in the past month neither was likely to change in the near future.

The players and supporters have been hearing the same message for close to 4 years, but no-one is listening.

Its been said in this forum and all over social media, that supporters are just sick of watching the rubbish being dished up. The board had no choice but to act - they are responsible for the governance of the club. Its crazy to say that Judd needs to go because he recommended Bolton for the job. It was the right call at the time and Bolton has left some positive impact on the club in many ways - but he just isn't the future. Having him stay at the club for the rest of the season would have been demoralising for everyone - including Bolton. He leaves it in a much better place overall than when he arrived.

Also for everyone who wants to sack the volunteer board - run a campaign against them or vote them out - that's how boards work. I think that they do a fine job.

A year ago I flew to Tassie and got chatting to a bloke who worked with Bolts at North Hobart when they won the flag (match committee).
I suggested my doubts re Bolts match day coaching and he agreed, saying it was the only question he had on Bolts suitability. Otherwise, he couldn't have spoken more highly of Bolton.

Whateley was frothing at the mount on SEN this morning. Filthy grub.

Last night and today he kept trotting out the old “they would never have planned for Bolton to have his least experienced team in 4 years on the field in year 4”. Of course no mention that Murphy, Thomas, Jones and McGovern were all by chance missing from our best 22.

Hi Dodo - not taking the piss, but here's info about the board - https://www.carltonfc.com.au/club/board

In relation to the board...

MARK LOGIUDICE - PRESIDENT - on the board since 2010
JEANNE PRATT AC - VICE PRESIDENT - on the board since 2011
LUKE SAYERS - on the board since 2012
CRAIG MATHIESON - on the board since 2012
CHRIS JUDD - on the board since 2017
DAVID CAMPBELL - on the board since 2018
PATTY KINNERSLY - on the board since 2018

In a philosophical sense being on the board should have a 10-year term limit, yes?

I can't believe some of you are still defending him, he failed he's not the first and he won't be the last. The issue that astounds me is that you would like to plonk along the same embarrassing path as the last few years holding on for dear life. The issues were blatantly obvious to the few who could see through the mind numbing trodden out lines of the establishment to the religious believers.
The major plan is still there but we needed to adjust is slightly to get the results that are required, and good on them for having the balls to do that. Bolton won 3 in forty odd, FMD. The players had enough of the bullshit game plan. The administration gave him a go but he wasn't up to it and he had to make way before the players were broken or damaged.
We should be happy. We need to go forward as a club, he had his shot and had ample time, next.

His record was appalling and was only going to get worse

We gave him ample time to show he was a good coach. He didn't

Not sure why we are still debating this issue

Next challenge is to find out whether we have recruited and developed our players to start making real progress

I have my doubts

SOS could be the next to fall

I know several posters say Bolton had nothing to do with the sakcing and recruiting of mature players, but I know that's absolute BS. A senior coach has a big say in who stays, who comes and who goes.

As has been pointed out clearly in the last 24 hours, many of those decisions have been the cause of his demise. He cut too hard and brought in spuds.

The fact of the matter is that we chose to do it without consulting the media.

Had we waited till the shite really hit the fan and then had to listen to the media saying “he can’t go on...it’s their only option”, all would be good.

We are bad. They are good.

The media feel like they have to drive the agenda.

In a week this will be all over and Worsfold will be copping it again.....or Melbourne.
