Summary please?

You can catch it a bit later on sen podcast chucky

He said we are setting fire to every match day opportunity-the only reL opportunity for bringing on and developing our young talent. Squandering and ruining by continuing with this path. (Bolts)

Happy almost.
Thank God this appalling reign is almost over. I really believe our young players will have gained a lot from Bolts in many areas. We should have engaged him as young talent mentor. Too late for speculating now though. We need a very different kind of coach.
For me
Happy with
Clarko
Scott
Voss
Ratts
Get Caracella as assisitant.
Could not go through taking a chance on him as main coach.
Although
Let's face it
Many of us so worn down we'd take Donald Duck.
I'd even take Daffy Duck at this point. Get it done today.

Watch the media go from "Bolton must go" to "blues knife Bolton"

And I don't even care.Let them.
Don't want another game with him but how quickly will they act?
Agree re Daffy.
Hec even Pluto. That's how bad it is.
Draw the line at old Malty though.
I still have my limits.

Whoever we get, can we please for once invest in some assistants with some decent pedigree. Not the Shane Watson's and John Barker's of the world.

St Kilda brought in Ratten and in my opinion have over-achieved since.
Collingwood have Harvey, Hocking, Sanderson, etc.
We have Barker, Watson, Amos.....

Is it just coincidence we've gone backwards since Neil Craig departed?

And I definitely bought in with Bolton.

The best footy we've played in that time was with Ratts, so clearly, footy (and following Carlton) is not a rational thing, and as I've said elsewhere…

…we just need hope.

If not through sakcing Bolton, then what, how else can we be given hope?

I don't like it when coaches lose their jobs, especially when Bolts does seem like a good guy, but no player, no person, is bigger than the club and right now the club is putrid.

The first few weeks were okay, our percentage was much healthier than previous years, but the last few weeks have been as bad as anything else we've seen.

It @#$%&! stinks.

Enough of the wise footy experts have pointed out serious flaws in our game plan to give us reason to hope with a talented and experienced coach. The fact that moee than a few of our hand offs have flourished elsewhwrw gives us reason to hope for our B and even C graders. Our B pluses can become A's and our A's, sky is the limit. I want to see our lads ecstatically happy after a few wins in a row. Confidence growing and supressed skills blossoming.
Is that too much to ask?

“Hope” is the thing with feathers -

That perches in the soul -

And sings the tune without the words -

And never stops - at all -

And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -

And sore must be the storm -

That could abash the little Bird

That kept so many warm -

I’ve heard it in the chillest land -

And on the strangest Sea -

Yet - never - in Extremity,

It asked a crumb - of me.

The only problem I have with sacking Bolton (who seems like a nice fellow and who I hope gets his dream job of coaching Tasmania in the AFL at some point in the future...) is who to replace him with in the short-term.

So we give him the flick and let Barker take over, and Barker wins six games. Do we then give Barker a contract? Do we give him the flick and hire a recruiting company and set up a panel and... I dunno. The same thing we've done many times previously?

We have to think outside the box here: Appoint Roos or Eade for 10 weeks as a senior coach. Someone who is not going to be the next long-term coach. Let them spend the remainder of the season coaching and compiling a report on who they think will make it and who they think won't, both on and off-field; coaches and players. Someone who knows what modern footy looks like, and can assess where we're at with a fresh perspective. Then take all that information into the process of selecting the next coach - be it Voss, Ratten, Scott or some other bloody assistant we've yet to consider.

I reckon we have talented footballers on the list. A good defensive coach. A good fitness guy. A decent forwards coach (Teague has had great success elsewhere - both West Coast and Adelaide - so he can clearly coach). Everything else seems up for grabs.

For the love of all things holy, please do not make Barker our interim coach. He needs to go with Bolts.

Try having a birthday today

Another one ruined by the club.

Care too much. Brings nothing but misery.

Wish I could turn it off and pretend I didn’t care. Have tried in the past, unsuccessfully.

More dark days ahead.

Press conference at 2 pm today.

Can say now I was informed that an ex player was told by players about the innevitable change.

Players were told after the game yesterday there would be change.

The players knew what the change is.

That's all I'm saying.

Pretty obvious.

Blue Skies ahead.

The player don't know what they're doing out on the field and it has been obvious for a while now.

The list is better than some here suggest.

The set ups and game plan have stifled them.

The scourge of being a Carlton supporter and having a winter birthday.

Last year I was going to go to the game at the Gabba for my birthday. I was sitting in a shopping centre in Rockhampton watching Carlton v Fremantle a few weeks before and at half time had to go to the airport and I stormed out of the centre telling my partner there was no way in hell I'd be ruining another birthday. We went to Stanthorpe instead.

If we have to go back to ground zero after necking Bolton - it’s going to take another generation.

Nah...Wallsy didn't have a great deal at his disposal that day. Decent enough spine - but the rest not much chop. http://www.blueseum.org/Round+10%2C+1989

We've got some decent talent...talent that needs to be released from the shackles and play some free-flowing footy.

If it's gotta happen, left field idea - Docherty as sideline co-captain/caretaker coach for the rest of the season. Anyone with a pulse can walk in, release the shackles and tell them to run and carry. Could be good experience for him and it couldn't get much worse.

I like this idea.
