I tend to agree with him.

Nathan better not fail winning the premiership this year ......

This is where Bolton made the mistake though. As much as we all like Williamson, he wasn’t and isn’t ready. He plays favourites. He now needs to play the kid. Just stuffed it up. Williamson needed to spend at least a month in the VFL.

Agree that Williamson shouldn’t have played last week. I think they felt they had to roll the dice because they wanted to replace defenders with defenders and had little other options. Personally, I would have played Setterfield.

News tonight were saying that Carlton and Hawthorn are really angry at Eddie and Carlton reminded him that Collingwood spoke to Clarkson around 18 months ago when they were not going so well.

I wonder if the selection team was put under the pump to play both Stocker and Willow for marketing/feel good reasons?

I think the selection committee were probably of the same mind set as the players. Thought this would be easy.

I thought the replacement selections on paper looked ok.
But I didn't realise how strong Norths midfielders were.

Let's hope they don't make the same mistake this week.

I think we are shit at the selection table but what would I know, I've never sat in on the discussions.

If they ask, next time play Setterfield - and Kennedy, can we possible give him a run at some stage. To my mind, a slow bloke who gets the ball is better than a fast bloke who doesn't.

..setters and Kennedy are both still too inexperienced.. ..ed and murphy have to spend more time in the middle.. ..Cripps is our most experienced full time mid, and less than 100 games.. ..crazy..

I very much doubt it.

interesting from Maclure on the front bar....referred to Roughead getting axed....said Bolton needs to stamp his authority. Alluding to Murphy I suspect.

Just on Clarkson. Is his time at Hawthorn perhaps up? Is the club quiet on Eddie’s comments because they are speaking with Clarkson? I sense somethings up. Wallsy would surely be unhappy with the state of affairs.
If there are any journos reading this, can you please do some snooping around. The silence is killing me.

Bolton may or may not be the guy to take us to 17 and beyond, who really knows, but on paper at least, he's handled things well re the Clarkson stuff…

Bolton senses 'steely resolve' will see Blues atone for shocker

Those comments give me the shits (apologies to kk). Everyone on this forum worred Carlton would take the wrong attitude into the Norf game and get flogged. They've got ample history with this kind of weak mentality, how about "owning" it, or - here's a crazy notion - preventing it BEFORE the @#$%&! game? Sick of this kind of retrospective rationalisation, process evolution, or whatever limp-dicked new-age label you want to put on it.
