Yep ! not doing enough forward.Go the old trick, chuck 'em to the backline to regain touch.

Out: Sir Liam (inj), Ploughman (inj or dropped), Murphy, Levi
In: Kreuz, Kennedy, Setters, McGoven

Not sure about playing two rucks but can't leave Kreuzer on his own to battle Grundy. We have to start to live without the great deflator, may as well be now. Murph must be dropped to draw a line on the sand on unacceptable efforts.

Ed has to return to his tagging role. Take your pick Ed.....they got some handy ones.

North aren’t that good but I’m expecting Collingwood to do much the same. Then again, it could be a lot worse.

Need to try something different this week. How has Patty Kerr been going for the NB's?...…..anyhow he can't be worse than Casboult and needs to be given another chance so we can make a decision on him at the end of the year.

My changes would be as follows (injury permitting)

In
Kreuzer
Setterfield
McGovern
Kennedy
Kerr

Out
Phillips
O'Brien
Jones (inj)
Caboult (papers stamped)
Gibbons

- Charlie to play CHB and hopefully regain touch and provide some rebound from defence
- Kerr to play the relief ruck role
- McGovern and Harry the two tall forwards

Yes it is a slow looking side but so too was North's team on the weekend.

I don't think we will go that far. Most likely if Kreuze and McGovern are right:

In: Kreuzer, McGovern, Setterfield

Out: Jones (Inj), Phillips, Gibbons

Setterfield comes in as another big body to help Cripps, as Kreuze will too. I expect a semi honourable 5 goal loss.

Personally I would drop Murph, but our club is weak as in making statements like that.

I thought McGovern & Kreuzer were the dreaded 1-2 weeks

Assuming Jones misses, what do we do? Go the ‘one out, one in’ route and play Casboult, Goddard or McGovern in defence? Or do we play Marchbank or Plowman as key defenders and one of our mids pushes back to defence? I predict we’ll go with the former. Goddard is no world beater but he has been solid in the VFL as a key defender.

B: Plowman Goddard Marchbank
HB: Thomas Weitering Stocker
C: Walsh Cripps C Curnow
HF: SPS Casboult E Curnow
F: SOJ Harry Murphy

R: Phillips Dow Fisher

Inter: Cunningham, Gibbons, O’Brien, Setterfield

In: Goddard, Setterfield
Out: Jones (inj), Williamson (inj).

I get the impression Russell takes a conservative approach to injuries, so I doubt Kreuzer and McGovern will play. Kennedy might come in for Gibbons or O’Brien, but my concern with that is Kennedy inability to spread.

Using that logic we need to move Harry, Charlie, Mitch and Levi all to the backline.

Yeah I still think that we need another big body around to help Cripps, Setterfied or Kennedy need to come in.

Why not use Ed?

Big game for Charlie. Darcy got him good in the JLT so let's see how he responds.

Won't drop Murphy, and that's exactly what's wrong with this club.

A response to Murph has to come from the players. When it does we'll know we've improved the culture.

As far as Goddard coming in goes, I'd say it all depends on whether or not Mason Cox comes back in

For me:
Outs:
Jones (inj.)
Phillips (depends on Kreuz)
Murphy
Stocker
Willow

Ins:
Goddard/The Gov (if fit)
Kreuz (if fit)
Setterfield
Kennedy
Lang

Time for some big bodies and experience.
Let Stocker develop in the VFL, at least until after mid season.
Same goes for Willow if he's not injured.
