67 way to early.
Condolences to his family.
78 rounds 11 and 12 kicked 6 against tiges and saints.
His best game that year was at Arden Street where he kicked 5.
I still remember the headlines
Jezza's Blues crush The Roos
It had a picture of Barass glaring over at Jezza
Very sad when they go young

For some reason I remember that round 9 game versus North Melbourne at Princes Park in 1978.
North Melbourne had won there first 8 games of the season and we had started the season poorly, we had won the past two games with Jezza as coach, but North started as overwhelming favourites.
There was a huge crowd and the outer was sold out - but they were still selling walk up seats in the Hawthorn/Pratt Stand for $5 each (I think it was $5), I don’t know where I found the $5, but it was a bit of money for a 16 year old back in 1978.
It was a beautiful day and it was a thrilling match for 3 quarters until we broke them in the last quarter to win by plenty.
Galt marked everything that came his way that day to bag six goals, as you say he may have played a few better games later in the season but that day has stuck in my mind for 40 years and it marked our return to dominance as a top side for the next 4 years.
Vale Rod Galt.
