You'll have to excuse me if this has been covered in another thread.

Let's say the 9 Network get the new contract and there's only 4 free-to-air games a round. Will this have an impact on the (ours and the other) clubs' sponsorship deals? For instance, do the contacts we have with sponsors have a clause that says we have to give back some money if we aren't in a minumum number of FTA games a season?

Anyone know?

Don’t know the exact answer to that Bort but I wouldn’t mind betting that a lot of sponsorship contracts would be up for review/renewell at the end of next season
co-inciding with the end of the current TV broadcasting rights.

It does raise an interesting question though regarding fixturing/exposure.
Packer controls CH9 AND Foxtel so it will be interesting to see whether the current agreement (if successful) between PBL and the AFL allows Packer to schedule the 4 “best/highest ratingâ€

It always does when The Shag's involved. There should be a standard "Tissue Clause"

Who is our main sponsor these days? It's hard to imagine a sponsor dealing with the Club and insisting on so may "free-to-air" games per season to meet their requirements.

I suspect our sponsors are well aware as to where we are in the food chain.
