Agreed too.

Even though I'm guilty of contributing in defending Bolts and co.

So as a change of topic.

Who do you think is the best replacement for the VET that will complement Bolts and his team? Caracella?

Great news but lets be honest, this kid is a self starter and Bolton is lucky to have him prop him up.

Ok, got it.

Player successful = self starter/success under anyone
Player unsuccessful = Boltons fault.

Despite what you think I wish Bolton all the success. We have some good kids and I hope he gets the best out of them.
That means this current crop don’t go down the same path as previous and we stop this pathetic merry go round we have been on for the last couple of decades.
As I have said previously he is a young coach and is still learning and I hope he will be the one to take us to the top. I think he has about a little over a year and a bit to show significant improvement before pressure mounts but by then we have improved significantly enough for him to start smiling again.
You never know next years rule changes might work push him to amend some of his tactics and we grow from there. Fingers crossed we don’t need another coach in the not so distant future for his sake and ours.

I still think that he needs a bit of mature assistance in his game day tactics.

Without actually knowing I think Neil Craig would of been a good calming influence.

two parts to his job, yeah?

drafting and recruiting. i guess if you're into putting lipstick on a pig, you could say he's got 50% right, which is more than alotta people at the club.

No thanks. Might be the most experienced available, but doesn't mean he's best man for the job. Josh Mahoney for mine.

with all due respect, mate. only an idiot would argue anything different, yeah?

I tend to agree. I reckon we've recruited some bloody good kids since Bolts and SOS came in. Weiters, SPS, Macreadie, Charlie, Dow etc. All good players.

My view is they aren't playing to their best. Even in the Twos when they're up against battlers.....It's not like they're setting the world on fire against lesser players then struggling in the ones. I don't think our 'gameplan' or coaching structure is helping them to be their best.

Im sure Bolton knows where he's at and where he is taking this team.

I don't really know much about either but they would both be coming from clubs building from the ground up, so it could only be a good thing I guess.
Except Gubby, did get suspended and I'm not sure if we want to be labelled with another tag.

Fair enough.

That should be achievable as our kids grow, plus a few years to bolt on a couple of FA and Trades.

I expect Top 8 by 2020.
I expect Top 4 bt 2021

We did it with Trigg and he had a tag.

Made no difference.

I dont know about either of the abovementioned prospects.
I know my Demons mates love Josh.

I figure the connection with SOS from their GWS days will carry some weight.

I'd be more than happy with Josh Mahoney as well (just not Dan Richardson please)
