Bolton isn't the problem

Bolton is 'part' of the problem (how much we don't know for sure), but so are a lot of people at the club who get to escape scrutiny.

The ones in charge of our player development, injury management and conditioning, for starters.

Very introverted individual. No doubting his coaching talent and footy brain. He's not your head coach though...he's your #1 assistant whom you pay as much as the senior coach. By all means get him in - but he's too reserved for the Carlton gig...I'd fear he'd have a nervous breakdown in week 1.

Unproven, just like the incumbent. Nothing to gain there other than having played AFL and don't forget he is taller as well.

Caracella turned a 13 placed team into a Premiership powerhouse. End of 2016 they looked to be about even with us, by all reports he was responsible for the change.
Just putting it out there seeing as the question was asked.

Spoke just about as well as possible at the presser considering the circumstances.

Well done Coach.

What we have sent out there is better than one win and consecutive 10 goals losses to bottom sides. We don't lack decent players just have alot of crap at the bottom. Alot of the issue is coaching. We look lost out that. no idea of our roles, no idea how to play a zone, offensive game plan. Games like this we should be playing to our strengths, in-close, tight, congested but no we play to the strengths of running sides.

Really?

For starters, it actually starts with the list!

MLG/Trigg/SOS sold the rebuild

Have a look at our list, and then list the midfielders, small and medium sized forwards

And then tell me what you think

I agree that SOS has made some blunders since coming on board (although they've mostly been guys who we would've anticipated to hardly ever play seniors), but he's also brought in Charlie, Weitering, Fisher, McKay, Kennedy and Dow with a combination of smart trading and talent recognition that the muppets in charge of this area before would've had no idea how to conjure. He hasn't done everything right, but I shudder to think how much worse things would be had SOS not come on board, and we were still stuck with Hughes or Rogers.

The crap starts much earlier than the bottom of the list

Go through tonight's team, half of the team tonight would not get a game anywhere else

We have no mids, once Crippa was worn down, we got smashed in the clearances

Not convinced. The afl world fell in love with BB off the back of a couple of jovial pressers when he filled in for Clarkson. No significant runs on the board then or since. Good talker, better than many afl types. Sold himself well maybe.

When Collingwood were failing over the last couple of years, people were saying it was Buckley's doing because it was with the team he wanted - the team he built.

Is it the same with Carlton/Bolton?

Woeful. Really woeful.

But we can’t sack him. Won’t achieve anything.

We need to surround him with much better people.

We need another Neil Craig type too.

He's had 5 top ten picks!!!

And another 5 picks before pick 30!!!

Smart trading? Examples? Really, the retreads from other clubs?

Talent recognition? Really, the retreads from other clubs?

We have gaping holes on our list...

No mids, no small forwards, no mid forwards

Cripps gets smashed every week

Yep, great list management, let's erect a statue

I’m sick in the gut because I can see where this is heading.....again.
He can’t coach. It’s obvious and I hope I’m proven wrong but the signs are there.
