We’re currently paying $3.40, are you saying we should get on.

Haha, no.

I’m saying, I’m expecting a fierce and competitive response from our players.

It’s rare that I am so optimistic, but if you can’t hope for the best while following Carlton at the moment there’s not much left.

6-year-old kid: Who do you barrack for?
Me: Carlton
Kid:
Me:

Our kids need therapy sessions to get them through this.......or they'll be getting therapy for the rest of their lives.

All I’m clinging to at the moment is:

1. The fact that we have poor list depth, dreadfully exposed by our injuries, which would make it difficult for anyone to coach our side at the moment.
2. The fact that the general consensus used to be that Hardwick and Buckley couldn’t coach and both have had a lot longer to get there than Bolton.

Thankfully, I haven’t watched our efforts against Gold Coast, Freo or Brisbane, although I am equally as gutted as anyone else here that our performances in those games have been so poor.

I don’t believe sacking the coach is the right decision at this point, but it’s getting harder to keep faith in our club right now.

Friday night can’t come soon enough.

Agree with your sentiments, except that for me it's the end of the season that can't come soon enough. Next season is make or break for Bolton. Too many more years like this one (and there's been precious few even half decent years since 2001) and the long term viability of the club in its present form may well be in question too.

My niece used to call me after each Carlton defeat/humiliation to rub my nose in it. She's 10 now, most of the gloating was around the ages of 6-to-8, until her dad told her to stop it. I would definitely be screening calls if she was still at it now: only so much rationalisation one man can do...

As I understand Carltonians and other major Coterie groups have been summoned to the club tonight at 6.30pm, for an “Information Session”.

Still 17 guest passes remaining AGRO! https://carltonians.com.au/events/

Ok so it was an already scheduled event.

My mate intimidated to me it wasn’t - sorry.

Interesting how a lot of people can't (or won't) see the one constant that has existed in our coaching ranks throughout the whole period that we've been crap, and is now our "Head of Strategy and High Performance", two things we're severely lacking at the moment.

Why does Barker get a pass? Why does Barker ALWAYS get a pass??

But why would Bolts go along with a strategy that wasn’t working ? ...

It is make or break next year. As bad as we have been in seasons from 2002 this is a new level of bad never previously attained (unless things improve in unforeseen ways).

Unless the payoff for this disastrous season is swift, not just Bolts but many other positions off field will be in jeopardy. We would want to be at least 4-5 wins at this point next year with a percentage over 75 to signify at least some improvement.

2020 we should be pushing to the fringe of the 8.

I have a feeling this year has set us so far back it will end up doing Bolts in. Would really be bucking the trend to have a one win season then be a successful coach

My Hawks mate laughed when we first got Barks. He's close to a lot at the club and he told me they couldn't get rid of him soon enough. Everything he was involved with at Hawthorn failed and he's kept up the record and then some at the Blues. Lovely bloke.....just has no clue.

Because even as caretaker coach, Barker still has a better win/loss than Bolts?

I was lucky enough to sit in a pre game coaches address when barker was interim coach and I was surprised and impressed. It was the game we beat Port Adelaide at the G.

However if this constant losing continues he can @#$%&! off with the rest of the coaching staff

Wasn't Barker just pipped by Bolton for the coaching gig? And then again by Fagan and Dew at Lions and Suns.

Surely he wouldn't be getting called up and almost winning multiple head coaching positions if he had nothing going for him.

Anyone hear the Age podcast ? Caro suggesting Ross Lyon will seek to get out of his contract earlier than 2020 and join Carlton. Based on "gut feel".
