I believe we do but need a bit more time.
And it is also v difficult to identify who would be better. Even a proven coach may sail in with nothing to prove and not perform the same (Malthouse).
Or we could land the super coach only to discover that his way is not as effective with different cattle or his time has passed (Pagan).
Or he could be a genius one year and then questions arise over the next couple (Beverage).
Clarkson was on v shaky ground before 2008 and then again c2009/2010/2011. Kennett even wrote him off at the beginning of his Premiership year 2013.
Buckley & Hardwick would never have survived this long at Carlton.

Like Clarkson c2006, Bolton still has a fair bit to learn.
We have to be patient, there is no real alternative at the moment.
Essendon** & Port Adelaide we’re lauded for their trading which was supposed to put them in the Premiership frame. How’s that going?
Meanwhile, West Coast’s Simpson was under as much pressure as anyone just 2 months ago now looks like a genius.
We must hold our nerve and not get sucked in (even after we beat Essendon** this week).

Bolton is a first time coach so the bright side is that he (like the team) can grow. There have been some questions about some of his decisions and versatility but he has shown lately that he is willing to divert from some of his original structures. Last week he did up to a point stem the bleeding by going one on one for a while (a little too late but he did adjust).
This week will be interesting with Casboult out and i am looking forward to the game style and team selection.

Only if laddie were a boy playing a girl.
This is confusing.
But....
Skippy is off topic because he was quite tall.
Tall for a wallaby... Short for a Roo...

Anyway, game style this week will be interesting

Go you good things

Over the last 4 or so weeks his message has changed and appears more willing to provide more detail in his answers. At present he is the right man for the job.

Good to see some clever coaching....
Lamb for Goddard, Rotating tag on Merret and Heppel, change momentum at 20 minute, giving the younger bodies a rest...
I could go on... But gee... A few obvious things that just didn't seem to be happening in the past, happened yesterday.. AND IT ALL WORKED.

Go Blues

And that's what we should look for - not that he akways gets it right - who does? But that he is willing to try new things, that it appears the coaching team are talking to each other, are working as hard as they can. That we can change things up.

BB was 15 metres from the Bomber player and never went anywhere near him. Telling him to nick off is no big deal.

Nothing to see here, move along.

I don't think it is was Baguley's fault really.

He was just asking our boys if they knew who he was playing on.

Robbo was pretty adamant he’d cop a penalty by the AFL

Robbo was trying pretty hard to ensure he’d cop a penalty by the AFL

Fixed it for you

This is encouraging to be honest. In the past I got the impression BB was loathe to change things during a game and wanted to stick to a plan regardless of its effectiveness.

It's a total coincidence that Baguley would sledge the only player in the AFL whose father has been killed with an axe about having a father killed with an axe. Move on, nothing to see here.

This week has convinced me all the more that Bolton is the man to lead this team, at least short-term.

Tactically he’s still got work to do (although how much of that falls to our assistants isn’t clear), but he speaks with authority, is clear and consistent in his messaging, and is clearly supportive and loyal to his players.

Everything Malthouse wasn’t.

Time will tell whether he gets us to where we ultimately want to be, but right now he’s exactly what this group needs.

Fraud

He can stay as as assistant but we need a coach who knows what they are doing with structures, setups, tactics, selections etc-

He cant keep hiding behind youth, injuries, rebuilds and cliches
