Excuse me?

I don’t enjoy this one bit. I’m frustrated, I’m angry and sick to death of being a laughing stock. I want this to end.

I also don’t see the point in grinding my teeth, marching with pitchforks, yelling at clouds or raging online with the same hyperbole over and over again. It’s exhausting, pointless and achieves nothing, especially when I’m yet to hear a single viable alternative.

Forget what Carlton WAS about. I’ve been privileged to see 4 flags in my lifetime, and others here have seen more. But that’s done, and old Carlton has no place in the game today. This is the sad reality of today. What Carlton IS AND WILL BE about is what’s being built now. This is reality. We can deal with it or @#$%&! right off.

But if more wins now and instant gratification is what you prefer, maybe YOU should go support Melbourne or St Kilda.

AFL football is a tough game. Players get injured....and umpires make mistakes. All teams get injuries and bad umpiring happens to all 18 clubs. To blame these 2 factors is the ultimate clutching at straws.

At what point do you guys suggest we change the strategy? Give us an indication of when you think the time is right to get a new coach.

Is it after 'game 66', middle of next year, end of next year, 2020?

I don’t know. Maybe if things are the same this time next year then qyestions should be asked.

But I can tell you the absolute worst time is right now.

And I don’t blame injuries. But if we were to move up the ladder we’d need our best and most experienced squad out there continually.

As it stands, we have have half our best 22 on the sidelines or underdone, and I can’t remember the last time we had a full squad. It’s a perfect storm of shite, and it’s the thing that has shitted me more than anything for years.

There was a simple event that made me realise the players aren't being taught. SOJ had the ball and was being chased. He dished off the handball to a player 5m in front of him and allowed the player that was chasing him, to run past unimpeded and put pressure on the player who received the handball.

SOJ is in his 3rd year as is Bolts. Those sorts of things happen dozens of times a game.

It seems to me that Bolts is more the assistant coach-type. He's fixated on stats and hopes and dreams - which is great, but I want someone who can teach young men to play footy aggressively and with desperation.

No one who has said that woe is rebuilding has come up with a clear provable and viable alternative.

Just saying “not turn over 14 players a year” is not really an answer when the 14 players chopped are worse talent wise than the 14 brought in.

We have the same problem as 2002/2003 - we lack a good core of 23-28 year olds. Inflated experience averages from guys like Simmo, Murphy and Thomas skew the true state of the list.

And to get ready made mature types is impossible unless you trade good picks for them. You can see why we tried to get Rockcliff and Devon Smith.

Some of you are just short term instant gratification types. We tried the quick rebuild in 2008/2009 - didn’t do it properly and were never in premiership contention. If you’d rather that then good luck to you but that was a rebuild gone wrong and sounds exactly what you are advocating for. Judd would know that better than anyone and I hope is advising the board of that rather than the board taking advice from well meaning perhaps but ignorant and impatient people masquerading as Carlton supporters.

Laying a shepherd after you dish off is something you learn in U14’s.

100%. So why wasn't it done? Is SOJ stupid, or lazy? I don't think so.

SPS is lost. Weitering has gone backwards at a million miles an hour. The Bulldogs kids look enthusiastic and involved - ours have no idea who they're supposed to be on or where they're supposed to be. Our structure crumbles at the slightest hint of pressure.

That's a coaching issue, not players.

I'm not the above. You're not listening, or chosing to ignore some basic facts. You're hoping or dreaming our 20yo kids develop. That's not a plan. We need answers to why our young players don't do basic things that other young players can. Our top 10 draft picks look 3rd rate compared to all other youth ATM. Why?

So a flag in 7 years time? I think I can wait that long.

Flags are very hard to win.

Richmond were 0-9 in 2010 and a laughing stock, then made the finals from 2013-2015. I would take finals three years in a row right now, let alone a flag.

Things can change reasonably quickly is the point I’m making. As Donstuie has mentioned above, I would hate for Carlton to go into old Carlton mode and go for the quick fix again. As much as Bolton’s cliches make me cringe, our list is pretty ordinary and the young talented players are still raw and need time.

It wasn’t that long ago that SOS was hailed as a genius. Something has gone horribly wrong this year but we’ve also had a lot of injuries, and losing Gibbs and Docherty are massive holes to fill.

It’s painful but I think we have to ride the pain and try the delayed gratification approach for once in our history.

Yeah, good effort. That's one incident that I highlighted. It happened multiple times with multiple players over several weeks.

Yes, I'm using the Bulldogs youngsters. Why wouldn't I? They've had lesser picks than us and are currently the youngest team in the comp by quite a long way, yet smashed the @#$%&! out of us. We were out-coached and out-played last night. And after 2.5 years of the new coaching group, our ciulture is still lazy, selfish and weak.

Are you asking a question? or Do you know the answer?

I thought you were blaming the coach.

IMO, and FYI, our kids are surrounded by .... kids.
Other teams are surrounded by experienced players.

14 Bulldogs players were Premiers 2 years ago.

Our leader is 23 yo.
