Everyone said the same thing about Cripps early on. Not saying he's going to be Cripps but don't write him off 3 games into his Carlton career

Give him a chance to get over that injury.

At least we didn't up any red time goals.

Gonna have to play ugly to win. Put the clamps on them pretty well late in the quarter, they were running the ball with ease before that.

He looks good though aye, they get very nervous around him those defenders.

Up until that last goal, all the luck just seemed to be going against us

What's everyone's obsession with red time goals? A goal is a goal whether its score in the first minute or the 30th minute. Unless its a result of a direct turnover what difference does it make?

Work the ball forward.
Bomb it into F50.
Watch the opposition run the ball with a chain of handballs to the other end of the ground.

Repeat.

The idea of the switch for a team like ours is bizarre. We kick backwards 60 metres using 6 possessions then turn it over at the same position on the opposite wing.

We were smart then and slowed the game up when the dogs were getting on top.

What I want to know is why couldn’t we do that in games we were more attacking? Why does it have to be all attack or all defence?

It would of been a very sensible tactic against the Pies when they got their 9 goal run on and would of been good against the Suns in R2.

I understand the last 2 weeks our hand is forced by the players we have out, but surely we can mix it up in future.

Lucky to still be in the game. Looks like they're going to run us off our legs.

Only players getting anywhere near it are Cripps, Fisher, Phillips and Charlie. And Charlie keeps falling over or butchering the ball.

Samo, LOB, Kennedy, SOJ, Marchbank, etc, etc. have been invisible.

And why are we continuing to play O'Shea?

Bro, you got it all wrong dude, they're junk time goals! And we got a field goal from one after Curnow threw a subtle lateral pass to the running back, also called Curnow. I thought only other franchises did that kind of stuff.
