BTW, just wondered how do these games usually get umpired? Strict, very lenient, or somewhere in the middle?

I vote for old school style! let the game flow!

surface was fantastic i thought. Soft but also very grippy. There were some areas around the boundary line that were firm, but otherwise....very good ground!

I also went past Lexus centre this morning. The magpies were having a training session.

I checked out the parking situation. As far as I could see, there is no parking on Swan st (or whatever it's called where the ground is). There is paid parking right next to the ground (off Swan st) which is a flat rate of $6.

" i just got back from an awesome day out with PJ and Clint. after having a kick after carlton training, on optus oval Razz , and after browsing the carlton shop, we headed to lexus centre to find that the lines were being freshly painted for our game. We had a good kick around on there aswell and got ourselves even more pumped. clint is a freak infront of goals and PJ's marking ability overhead is first class. Not to mention his eddie betts type snap goals (and celebrations Wink )...... bring it bitches!!!"

So if Shag, PJ and Clint look for each other during the game we know why

Bull the ground is nowhere near as hard as Glenfiere, its very green and very lush. For those who dont have footy boots, if it rains you still be able to a lil grip, but lets hope for no rain and it stays overcast.

WCB was right when he said the ground is wide, its very wide and long. Good 3 or 4 kicks to goal from end to end, if we go wide add 1 maybe 2 kicks to that. I would almost say that the ground is a lil like OO apart from the huge hump in the middle of the ground.

Just over 24 hours to go untill we get to kick some magpie ARSE!!!!

BRING IT ON!!!

Things to bring tomorrow...

- Plenty of water. Bring at least 2-3 bottles. More if you want.
- Sunscreen just in case it turns into a scorcher.
- Carlton guernsey/NavyBlue top
- Footy boots/runners
- A few footy's so we can have a kick before the game

Can't think of anything else at the moment.

Be there at 1pm for a 2pm start.

Might announce the team later on today.

That's @#$%&! brilliant.

Good idea, Gez. Get an early night's sleep tonight. I find the easiest way of falling asleep is reading a book while you are in bed.

There will be a lot of running tomorrow and, as Gez said, we need all the energy we can get.

May as well get this out of the way now.
Gives everyone a chance to figure out what they have to do in their position.

Starting 18 vs. Nick's/LSD

B: James Bond Orangelad Benny
HB: Tyrants PJ Fullmont101
C: WCB Singindabluze Nicko
HF: Gezman Barnesy Club29
F: BNZ Bull The Shag

R: Nicko's dad Slyuss Big Danny G

I/C: Benny Coff, MattFish, SimBott, Pickles, Italian Styles, Muesli, Barone

Runners: James Bond Jnr, Shag's brother

Everyone will spend some time on the bench. I will be looking to get Club29 on and off the bench at regular intervals due to his knee.

So who are the ones coming along to support them tomorrow?

I know I'll be there, with luck the rain won't be there.

I have just been informed that my old man is coming to watch. This could be a bad thing as he will probably have the esky with him and will try to tempt me to the dark side during the game. Fingers crossed this counts as my xmas visit
