Why do people still think KJ is in the picture? Has anything at all indicated that he may get a game this year? Anything?

The first 6-8 weeks yes, since then no. Rightly or wrongly I reckon he's gone

Another great lesson for the boys against the Dogs. A crushing defeat against the Demons on the weekend really really hurt. And now we're up against last years premiers. Couldn't ask for a better learning experience. This is what playing in the big league is all about. A great opportunity presents itself in shaping our rebuild to the harsh reality of week in week out 4 quarters footy. Get use to it boys, its not going to get any easier until you get better.

Go Blues!!!!

I thought I heard the commentators say he's our leading goal kicker despite spending large chunks of game time in the back line...

Maybe some of our VFL watchers can verify?

COS for White.

That is all.

As Graham was the non playing emergency and is more of a like for like replacement for Cripps, I can't see him not being the replacement. I also thought Boekhorst was better than Smedts in the 2s

Sheehan needs to go back and find some form in the 2s. Byrne is ready and simply better in nearly every way

I would give Byrne a few more weeks to build his fitness and touch. If Williamson is ready, it will be interesting to see whether he comes back through the VFL or straight into the senior side (presumably at the expense of Sheehan).

It speaks to how far Armfield & Buckley have fallen that they aren't even in the discussion.

I think we need a mid who can contribute at the stoppages to replace Cripps. That probably rules out Boekhorst. I guess it's then a choice between Graham, Palmer, Polson & Smedts. None are particularly inspiring at the moment (although Polson may be a player down the track). I've plucked for Smedts because I think he has slightly more upside than Graham & Palmer and can play a few different roles.

Pickett & Sumner need to show more for longer to force their way in for the likes of Lamb or Thomas.

If he has shown nothing since round 6-8 in the magoos then it's hard to argue its wrong.

He is gone. He's more likely to play an NFL game in the future than ever play another AFL one.

True, but some would argue he should have been given a chance when he was in good form. That is debatable, I'm unsure myself

They've given chances to plenty of players this year. The fact he hasn't received one speaks volumes for where the match committee think he's at.

No Cripps will help the Dogs' midfield to get their rhythm back.

Despite the costly howlers, Kerridge was our best in-and-under after Cripps went off, so will stay in the team. Byrne to replace Sheehan looks an obvious one though.

For sure. He made up for his mistakes.

How has Polson been travelling in the VFL? He's the unluckiest of the lot, in for the Port game then straight back out.

Agree with all this.

Don't think they will select either Silvagni or Byrne.

Buckley's future at the club is not looking great at this stage... which is a real disappointment.
I would hate to see him playing in other colours next year
