Another game into Sos, curnow, marchy, Cunners, Fisher.
Jones was superb today.
Gibbs and Cripps again were huge.

Poor skills and turnovers hurt us at critical times.

+ed. yes.

The umpiring today was putrid.

the maggots gifted them a goal from a BS free, and denied Fisher a goal from an obvious hold 5 mins later..

Not to mention the numerous BS marking contest frees paid to them today.

Disgusting umpiring today. I am surprised more hasn't been said about it.

I'm growing weary of watching us lose out in those tiggy touchwood decisions at crucial times which invariably gift the opposition goals.

Worst one for me today was when a Crow was caught red hot in the goal square, beautiful tackle, incorrect disposal, but the momentum of the tackler pushed the guy forward (Crouch?). In the back!!! WTF? Seriously, he had already dropped the ball cold. Just a wrong decision. Wrong.

Overall very very ordinary. Two or three horrible hand passes to people under far more pressure then him. One shockingly bad turnover in the middle of the ground when we were attacking in the last with all the momentum. I think it led directly to a Crows goal from the turnover.

His two shinning moments were a great rundown tackle that should have been rewarded but wasn't and another great tackle with 1 minute left to play, 30m out, directly in front with us down by exactly 2 goals. Should have been incorrect disposal but wasn't called. Would have made the last minute exciting if the correct call was made.

Good to see him tackling a bit but overall he was poor for mine.

Cripps - 9 clearances
Gibbs - 7 clearances
Murph - 2 clearances

There was a blatant holding the ball right in front of our goal in the final minutes today. Play on as usual.
That umpire number 28 hates us.

Umpire Parnell #28 and McInernie #32 from last week hate Carlton. They continue to screw us over every time.

Green sprouts are the things that give me confidence we are on the right track.

Looking at our forward line today we have a bunch of players who are just in the system- lost some one on one body contests that we will at worst halve as our players play more footy

Charlie Curnow - like Big Kev used to say - I'm Excited

I almost thought similar thoughts, just not as savage for depth players.

Kerridge played a really good game as a depth player...he did a lot of good things.
Graham got ...well...monstered, it seemed on the box.

Umpire 28 had an Adelaide jumper underneath his umpire top today.
That coupled with an IQ of 60 [REDACTED] us over well and good.

There we at least 3-4 non decisions against us that lead to goals. Especially early on, he was putrid and should not even umpire under 10 level.
Maggot of the highest order.

The emotion moments after the game meant I used a couple of stronger words than necessary for a couple of blokes who certainly give effort but overall I stand by it :fight:

McInernie is a cheat, I'm sure Pannell is too stupid to know what cheating is, he is just a terrible terrible umpire and a dead set moron, and we are unlucky enough for him to ream us every time.

Let's worry about how many goals our own players gave up before we start on the umpires :garthp:

So true. Umpires are umpires and they make mistakes equally (mostly) it's just that we only care and remember when we're the victim.

Agree Sumner was extremely disappointing. Actually hasn't shown much this year imo.

I couldn't see what some were raving about last year.
I just cant see the explosive pace. Not real.

I'm still convinced he's not the real deal we were hoping he would be as a high draft.
Fingers crossed.

IMO too small. and not fast enough....plus he's got to nail any opportunity at goal....everytime.

A young side that has flat patches during games. 4th time this year we have been in front during the last qtr and lost.

At the other end of the scale we have played the best two sides in the competition. Beaten one by a point and had a huge battle with the other before going down by 12pts after leading during the last qtr. Not that far off. Just a bit more development.

That's the spirit jim.

Team is not far off.

It is not about individuals in BB's team, despite the fact individual efforts do help in the big games.

Your thinking would be fine if it was an aberration but it's pretty much the standard operating procedure for those c@^t$ they call umpires week in and week out. The problem is that we always have to play two opponents the other team and on top of that the umpires that screw us on a regular basis, they put the whistle away when we deserve a free kick yet the c@^t$ blow it for the opposition when it's a 50/50 or not even a free kick. I will say this though when we get to a point where we can beat both the opposition and the umpires we will be unstoppable.
