Great to see Cunners back and Sheehan you beauty. Love SPS, but a little bit miffed at the "managed" angle. Just play him in Magoos for a bit and admit he's been ordinary even if it's because he's 18 ?

Have they announced a farewell game for Boekhorst?
(In the VFL of course...)

Strong message to Smedts and especially Pickett. Whilst it would appear that BB has run out of chances, Pickett will need to recognise and address his deficiencies. And he'd better show something pretty quickly.

Six changes is big. My guess the CFC brains trust want the boys to know they can be competitive against a league leader.

With a bit of luck maybe we can give them a fright and put some real confidence into the boys for a decent crack at them next year. And if we somehow beat them this time, great.

Pointless stat, after tomorrow, Carlton would've played last 5 games against Crows in Melbourne and at the MCG..

R16, 2016 - Carlton 7.5 (47) - Adelaide Crows 16.11 (107)
R10, 2015 - Carlton 14.6 (90) - Adelaide Crows 14.15 (99)
R10, 2014 - Carlton 12.9 (81) - Adelaide Crows 10.16 (76)
R5, 2013 - Carlton 17.13 (115) - Adelaide Crows 12.11 (83)

Reckon were in with a good chance...

Bolton's presser today says it all when asked about the 6 changes

I'm worried that Eddie will torch us just for a laugh - because he can.

Great changes. I thought we'd be conservative, but we were bold. Well done.

We're every chance tomorrow. GWS are a better side than the Crows, and we beat them. Adelaide aren't amazing travelers and when they're off their game, they're nothing special.

How does dropping Boek, Smedts and Pickett make them bold changes? They are already whipping boys and have been punished for 1 poor game. Where is the re-teaching and opportunity to redeem themselves?

Bold changes would've been dropping SPS, not managing him
Bold would've been dropping Weitering who has had a very quiet year (maybe a couple of games in the ressies just to get his confidence back)
Bold would've been giving SOJ/Fish a ressie game or two to manage them during the year as they haven't set the world on fire this year
Bold would've been dropping Thomas much earlier as he had been a WOFS for a few weeks

The darlings haven't been dropped despite not always performing...

I too love the 'darlings' but reckon there's one rule for some and...

If Plowman lines up on Betts - you'll find me in the Frank Grey Smith Bar.

Disagree. The club has standards when you pull the jumper on. Boekhurst, Smedts and co demonstrated none of those standards, as a result they were replaced.
