That's what is lost in all this conversation.

When you, as a supporter, are at the game, and "you" get the set up- well, I suppose the players do as well

ps- the deliberate against weiter at the end is the worst decision I have ever seen

Good point

Just watching the replay of the last two minutes... Seriously how did GWS not even manage to paddle it through for a point?? Just pathetic.

We outplayed them as a team with real spirit today. We battled relentlessly and forced them to go out and beat us, and they couldn't - we did such a good job that they s#&t their pants.

The boys will learn a lot from that game.
If they bring the intensity and consistency each week then they are always a chance, even if the opposition is much more developed and skillful.

Well done to the young lad that predicted a CFC win by 1 point on the big screen at three quarter time.

Yes, quite right.

Give that kid a newspaper column and a special comments role on the broadcasts.

I lost my shit over that, even before they paid it, because I knew they'd pay it.

I was so busy losing my shit, I didn't hear the siren.

Seriously, can umpires pass some sort of psychological test before being allowed out there? The type that discounts those who can't resist making bullshit decisions at the death knell so it's all about them?

That was an absolutely disgraceful decision, and it still will be after it's cleared by Campbell, or whoever the latest apologist in the advisor's chair is. It could have cost us the game, and it was and remains, regardless of the merits of the rest of the umpiring on the day, disgusting.

Did I mention my disgust for that deliberate out of bounds decision?

Quite right. They are a bunch of large, athletic, talented, privileged, heartless wankers.

If they don't win a flag, it will be because of those last two characteristics.

Kreuzer was not only awesome today, but essential.

While most of our team struggled to tackle the literal giants hard enough to stop them rebounding, Krooz hit 'em hard and followed up time after time, and they didn't like it, flat track bullies that they are.

As good as the team was today, Krooz was our best hands down. He was immense throughout and right to the death.

And people wanted to get rid of him.

How many rucks are capable of roving their own taps? 'Okay, I didn't win the tap, I go again. On-ballers struggling to find a loose man? I know where to go. I can kick. I can read the play. I can hold a mark. Why were so many ready to on-trade me? Why are people so unkind?'

Blah blah blah.

And good for you, Jonesy.

Great game, Lamb.

Marchbank...I know you're a backman, but it's okay to have a pop instead of dinky kicks to forwards in shit positions. Be selfish occasionally, within reason.

Great games from the usual suspects. The supporting roles are getting more supportive, and that's where the strength will come from.

Great win, but you knew that.
:fight:  :thanks:

Why? Shouldn't you actually reward him rather than punish him?

I guess I was just looking to raise the standard of analysis in our football media. I know that's a big ask.

Biggest Wanker: a toss-up between Toby Greene and Stevie J for trying and failing to bully every single Carlton player a minimum of 13 years younger than him.

This game reminded me a bit of our win over West Coast in 1991

Well done to the club, a great victory over the AFL marketing team.

We were nearly as good as Essendon**

Apparently it's now called a "pick" in the parlance of derwayne. But it was probably my individual highlight of the day.

Yes. Plenty of Wright love.
For mine..Kreuzer won us the game with that tackle, then soccer kick to Daisy who passed it to Wright.. who GOaled! Just awesome. What a great game and fantastic team effort. Marchbank did an awful lot right Fenwick so I'm cutting him some slack.
