Although I like Weitering down forward. I reckon playing him back, and a slightly smaller forwardline has worked well for us.

Not sure of having Lamby Sumner and Fisher all in at once....
Or is that unfair? I am impressed with Lamby today.

Cuningham one of our few quick enough and strong enough to break tackles.

Costly fumble from Marchbank.

Good to see SOJ hit a set shot. Even if the free was a bit lucky.

How was it lucky? Giants teamate came in to block it up.

No prior opportunity. Right in front of goals. Rarely gets paid.

I like him down back and we have Charlie Curnow just starting to find his feet in the game. MacKay is still an unknown as is Kerr.

Superb half by the lads. Our record when we get into games early like today is very good.

Lamb and Sumner have been very busy. Attack on the ball, willingness to take risks and pressure acts have been superb.

But the biggest thing from today is one man.......Liam Jones. Seriously looking top notch down there....strong, fast, attacking packs, delivering well, marking everything.

Took him on, Silvagni got elbowed in the neck as the player tried to evade him. Hung on for dear life and took him to ground. Player had opportunity to dispose then and kept it tucked in with his team mate blocking it up.
No attempt.

He also then put the ball on the ground with one arm before it was blocked back up. Free every day but yeah....they don't always get paid.

That used to be Geelong's style their best years. Lose the clearance, get it at half back and rebound.

At the very least, this group has a great appetite for the contest which makes me happy.

It feels like we're red lining a bit with our intensity hence we have a few more handling/disposal errors whereas the Giants seem to have a gear or two more available to them.

But, like Lleyton Hewitt proved when he got to number one, you don't have to blast people off the court to win. Just be a mongrel that's hard to play against and have some composure in the key moments and you never know what's possible.

Correct. The free should have been for high fend off.

Jones is a revelation is an upgrade on Rowe.

One game folks...in fact only ones half.

He's the right age bracket for sustained success.

I backed Jones and Lamb would be the difference for us today...

Go Bluebaggers.

I also backed us to win...so far..for obvious reason, secondly, and to be seen, we had a bye last week and fresshhhhhhh

I assume everyone has noticed that there are four field umpires on the ground? Not sure that it's making a positive difference

To be a chance we need to get ourselves well in front. Too many fadeouts.

Getting a lot of forward frees. Not making the most of them.
