personally i don't think boekhorst has done enough for a call up but williamson might need a break

He has given up on making it, someone close to him has said to me. Believes they wont give him a go. It's pathetic because he's on a list, you think he would do absolutely everything he could to change their mind, like Jones gives the impression he does.

Give up on this one, he's given up on himself.

I feel for the kid and actually wouldn't blame him if he gave up for 2017.

Reckon Army might get a run.

Been a lot of talk about who could run with Hill, Army would be the closest to having the leg speed and defensive side required.

I wanted it to be Hill and Dale cos youknow.. but no takers.
Cecil's point makes sense I guess. It could easily be either of Boeky or Cunningham instead.

You, you. Hahaha.

He obviously has the talent but it requires gruelling hard work if you want to make it and have a successful career. AFL isn't for everyone.

You do not have to listen to anyone. Go and watch the Northern Blues play and you can judge for yourself.

Are you serious? I dont post often but have been around since the old Dom era lol. Its refreshing to see to someone with talent not being spoon fed and made to cherish it. It cant want to see him get a decent chance. However having a sook and giving up would be explain exactly why he wasnt/isnt given a chance. This is character building - it harkens back to an era when we were successful and those that made the senior grade were deserving and valued the opportunity.

I love this club and for the first in a very long time am excited about our future.

I've heard the same thing. Pretty much knew before the season started that he was unlikely to be given much of chance

So you have a player KJ who "picks" and "chooses" for 2 years and probably isn't a team man.
Do you

A) pick him after 6 good weeks
B)test his desire and hardness over 3 months
C) Put a line through him.

If you answered B) you were correct

There's 17 other teams out there and last time I looked a lot of them needed big mobile players who could play both ends of the ground.

They watch the VFL closely if he's prepared to do the work he'll get an opportunity.

Honestly, if Cam McCarthy can play at the highest level then KJ should be able to. It's up to him.

How could Armfeild get a game he's form for northern blues doesn't
deserve a recall to the side and if selected what does it say about our
MC and BB who have said players will only be selected if there form
warrants selection. Armfeild is finished should never get another game
for Carlton can't and will not improve the team.

It says the MC is thinking week in and week out and not picking the same team every week even thtogh the opposition has a different make up?
For the same reason Stuart McGill played cricket for Australia?
If you need someone to play a specific role, you pick him.
Denis is a great clubman and he also happens to be a great tackler, have a huge tank and would probably be in the top three for pace in the team. Someone suggested earlier he might be a specific pick for Hill. Or the club might be rewarding him with a trip to Perth as the emergency for the weekend for being such a good clubman.

Great clubman won't win you games or footy and I will ask you this would Dennis make any other team
in the afl.

If that was/is the case, I would be ok with it. On the basis that KJ knows its the case and he is not dead in the water. I hope they haven't closed the book on him.

While you are there watch how hard he works....or doesn't. I have only watched three of the games in full and only online not in person so I am more asking questions here than making statements. Others who watch live are better placed than me to have a strong opinion. The reality is he takes a few strong marks. Does he crash packs or sit back if he isn't in position to take the mark? The marks he does take and the goals he kicks shows he has talent. Does the fact he has averaged only 1 tackle per game for the last two VFL seasons tell us more? He is averaging 2 tackles so far this year. Slightly better. Does he block for his teammates? What are the indicators we can look for instead of goals against lower ladder VFL teams?
