Pros:

Effort.
Accuracy in front of goal.
Brilliant game from SPS.
Best game I've seen from Graham.
Marchbank, Plowman and COS were terrific.
Midfield.
More exciting signs from Charlie.
Slashing goals from Simmo, Gibbs and Casboult.

Cons:

Umpiring down the Ponsford end, in front of the Collingwood cheersquad.
Williamson was quiet.

Begs the question, who could possibly coach Collingwood next?

Bolton: We're under no illusions about the Saints next week. They were ferocious last night.

Bolton: Kreuzer had a huge amount of contested disposals. He's a no-fuss guy, but internally we're celebrating his consistency this season.

Bolton: Wright is a very diligent role player. When he's diligent, he gets the rewards.

Bolton: We had David Rhys-Jones speak to the players pre-game about what this rivalry means. The players appreciated it.

Bolton: We need to celebrate the wins, but more importantly make sure we continue to look at growth areas.

Bolton: Our measurement is not what people say about us. We're not getting distracted. We're sticking to the roadmap.

Bolton: We're starting to show signs of consistency.

Very solid win. Even performance from everyone and was never in doubt. This team is starting to build something special together.

Agree ,very good team effort again, nothing better than beating Essendon* and Collingwood in same year, would love to be a fly on the wall at the filths night tonight, the clouds are parting and blues sky's are on the horizon

Talking to my Collingwood supporting mate about the game and it's all about how poor the Pies were.

Or, as I had to point out, maybe you aren't that bad and we are just red hot navy Blues.

Great footy and great signs for the future.

They are now in grave danger of getting a good coach, much like you blokes 2 years ago. Hoping like hell they go the Paul Roos false hope route instead of a very good long term assistant like a Blake Caracella type.

Bluey McKenna was an assistant there. Has said he'll coach again.

Composed with elements of class, which is something I haven't been able to say about our team for years.

It never looked like we were going to lose the game, even when a few umpire decisions went against us towards the end of the game

The defence is outstanding, and it was interesting to hear the commentators remark on how much better our forward line is compared to Collingwood. It's still a work in progress, but certainly not the train smash people said it was pre-season.

Not only is Casboult consistently delivering on his promise, the move of Weatering into attack has been a master stroke. He doesn't necessarily get a lot of goals, but given his quality, it creates a headache for opposition coaches about how to defend.

Last week was a significant win for our future, and today was an important confirmation for player belief.

Our boys defensive structure today was outstanding.
Very organised and worked a treat. The amount of intercept marks was outstanding. On top of that, the amount of times the filth got a breakaway and had to stop and prop because they were outnumbered down the field was brilliant. Great day in the coaches box

Kind of feels like it's time for an Eade or Roos in their evolution. As in, they tried an untested and failed - oops - time to go for experience like we did that time with Mick. Be @#$%&! funny.

Just after Daisy's goal. He doesn't look as disgusted as the ones from previous games...must be getting used to us spoiling the party.
