About to buy tickets for Saturday and there's stuff all available already.
Looking at getting some behind the goals as the only other option is up in the bleachers (at $60 each!)
Does anyone know which cheer squad will be in the Great Southern Stand? ie behind the goals at the Punt rd End?
I'm assuming its us as the filth will be in the Ponsford Stand?

I upgraded to a reserved seat in the front rows of level 4 last weekend. There are not many tickets available now. If you check the MCG website they are expecting a crowd of 65,000 and there are plenty of general admission walk up seats available on level 4. Our cheersquad will be in M3.

Coll have a very good, deep midfield.

Trealor
Pendlebury
Sidebottom
Wells
Adams
Greenwood
Crisp
DeGoey

Compare that to our top 8

Cripps
Murphy
Gibbs
Simpson
Setton
Graham
E.Curnow
Fisher

If their forwards are not 'on' we will have a chance. It will be interesting to see who plays on Jamie Elliot. He is the one that could take the game away from us.

We also can't let Howe do what he wants!

Thanks for the summary Swan.

Men vs Boys.

Cripps' engine is improving by the week...and will give us first use.
Hopefully the class of Murphy Gibbs and Simmo are the difference in the midfield.
Charlie and probably Boeky and Thomas will give the others a chop out in the guts.

I guess Docherty would take Elliot and he would have the smarts to stop him getting a jump to mark.

As long as we don't go bombing it forward Howe shouldn't be a marking factor.

I also hope Casboult crashes packs aplenty and hurts bodies in particular Howe.

Pickett was terrible with the NB. He will need to show a better attitude before he gets back.

Jones was fantastic .... but ...we have fallen for that one before ...not sure they will take the risk.

McKay . .. not ready yet.

Kerr ... natural forward and improves every week ... not far away.

I reckon we will bring in one or more of the following.

Daisy (most likely)
Boekhorst ... playing well and adds pace.
Buckley... ditto.

Put Rowe on Howe, and just to continue the theme, bring Denis in and put Denis on Blair.

This game has the makings of C. Curnow cameo.

His improvement has been exponential.

Ka-Boom!!!

Why would White get dropped. The entire back six played really well on Saturday.

He probably wouldnt hence why i said IF they wanted Macreadie to come back in then i am assuming White would be the one to go.

I can't think of anyone else to drop before him.

So most likely Macreadie wont come straight back in.

That's what I'm thinking too.

Me too.
For a change it's a nice problem to have. hey may rest Williamson at some stage and McReadie may getanoter run otherwise, he's got to push someone out by weight of numbers in the twos.
I think White is the vulnerable one as Gro suggested but not this week.
He does his bit every week and I aqdmire the way he plays to his best but the reality is, he's a fringe player.

He just did not seem interested! Maybe I am too harsh ...

Finally finished watching the Northern Blues full replay. Not sure who was officially named BOG but Jones was definitely BOG for mine. Playing predominantly in the ruck and at various times in attack and defence.

KJ was the best of the 3 key forwards for me. Really liked what he did playing in defence for long periods also. Not enough to replace any of the senior guys if they are all fit but first in line if kids like SOS don't get up. MaKay was OK but some marks and a goal in last quarter junk time made his game look better than it really was. He still failed to get to a handful of contests he should have and dropped a few I'm sure we would all like him to hold in a perfect world.

Blaine, as many have mentioned already, was good and based on single game form would be a good replacement for Fish but the MC will of course take longer term form into account rather than just the last game so I might be over simplifying his chances.

Given it was a six-day break between the VFL game and the Collingwood game, were any players game time managed? for those who watched the game. Might give an indication of who is coming in for Fisher

I fail to see how daisy's kicking woes can be fixed by a week in the 2's.
yes, he is good for on-field mentoring and leadership, but we proved that we have enough of that with the mix from last week.

Both Jaksch and Boeky have AFL attributes and at some point we really should find out if they are able to play at this level. Whether it be an extended run in the second half of the season or whenever, we need to find out where they are at against AFL competition.
We know Jaksch can kick goals from outside 50 and has looked really strong in the air this year. And there are few on our list with the pace of Blaine, and fewer who could have spotted up that pass from the forward pocket in the last quarter last week. Give them both a crack when they are confident to give them the best chance of success I say. They are both have attributes that our side currently lack.

my take is to bring in the runners such as buckly and boeky or if we need another fwd jones deservesanother chance. Also if the ferals stopped danger and selwood than why cant we stop pendles and trelor and will we see how deep collingwood midfield bats.

Buckley hasn't earned a spot. I suspect Plowman may go to Elliott and White to Fasolo. Marchbank to Moore and Rowe on the American.
Levi Greenwood is the interesting one. who will he go to? Cripps? Gibbs? Murphy or will they spring a surprise and play him as a defensive forward on Docherty.
Doc can't continue adding the value he is without getting some attention soon. Whatever the case, we can't let Greenwood hand out the physical treatment he gave to Selwood last week. It would be good to see our boys give him a bit of physical treatment in return. Just to give him something else to think about.
