I dont want Daisy to come back in for this one. He kicks to the opposition. He is basically now a good VFL player. Not his fault. Was a great of the game. I'd rather Cunningham or Buckley for sheer enthusiasm and speed.Maybe Polson again...but probably wait for a less huge game.
Fair enough too.
I feel that Bolton and his MC are using this season (at least the first part) as an opportunity to see young players who have shown form in the NBs.
We have seen Macreadie, Pickett and Polson.
Macreadie has almost cemented a spot, Pickett has shown he can match it in AFL, and Polson is still developing, and has been given a taste.
I think Pickett and Polson will work harder for the experience.
We've seen Kerridge, Palmer and Thomas, and know what they bring hardened bodies and experience to the team. But BB and the MC have already added experience to this young team with the selection of Smedts, Graham and Kreuzer over the abovementioned 3.
Cuningham was named emergency for form show, so he's in the running, but Boekhurst is the one who everyone has take notice of. He's been doing it tough, and obviously had set KPI's. We know he has great speed and pretty good by foot, but its his defensive side and tackling that needed to improve, and it has this season.
I'm sure Buckley is line too, but hasn't he been played mainly in defence? That might play against him.
No doubt that Buckley, Cuningham and Boekhurst are next cabs off the rank for SOJ and Fish.
