Williamsons' composure and burst off the mark is remarkable
Fisher's decision making was great.
ASOS - Welcome to CFC. Finally, we have someone who can own and school, Buddy
Docherty and Simpson were general like today.
C.Curnow looked dangerous. He's going to have a game this season where he will own it.
Great team effort and rapt that we responded the way we did.
Up the baggers!!

Likewise. Another serious talent.
All in all several really good pick-ups.

Who will all be ignored when the Rising Star nominations are discussed this week

Williamson, SPS and Marchbank all set for overlooking this week.

(Zac and Charlie will get their rejections soon enough)

It'll take a blinder to overlook Marchbank this week

Hipwood has kicked 40% of Brisbane's goals so far today. Lock him in.

Outstanding to see the new core developing.

The young brigade looked like they were playing for each other and for the jumper. It had a sniff of that old Carlton arrogance about it.

Williamson, Marchbank, Plowman, Docherty, Weitering.

That's a serious backline building there...

The spoon might not just be ours now after all you negative nancies.

Yep, some pretty funny pre game posts. A few have got egg on their face right about now.

Don't know whatchya talkin' 'bout...

I didn't name names.
And yeah Blue Boys; any game against any bottom 8 side, yet alone one that hasn't won yet you just have to have some form of optimism that we can win.

It's amazing Longmire says they are playing unacceptable footy, the AFL website says they were flat, what a load of rubbish, they played as well as we allowed them to play and were beaten by a better side on the day, I thought the margin flattered them

I guess Rohan's injury means they can't charge him for his Ziebell-type launch into Rowe. Took his eyes off the ball and launched after Rowe had his name all over it. Didn't like it.

Pros:

We kicked more accurately for goal than the opposition. It's often almost that simple.
Really pleased the both Smedts and Charlie got goals late. Hopefully that'll help them with their goalkicking yips.
Docherty, Murph, Simpson, COS, Wright, Kreuzer, Ed, Williamson, Smedts.
Another exciting performance from Charlie.
Love the poise and skill of Weitering and SPS.

Cons:

It'd be nice if Weitering could get through a game, without getting a corkie. Is it because of his oversized thighs or something?
Red time goals to the opposition.

Charlie Curnow impressed me today. Was worried about him at the start of the season but he has started coming up the ground and getting involved, taking strong grabs and smashing contests.

I was a bit concerned too that Williamson might have had a touch of the Bowers about him but on seeing more of him I reckon he's going to be a bit special.

SPS moves through the contests like a ghost. He just seems to operate on Matrix time when he has the ball. He looks better and better each game.

Alex Silvagni was huge for us too. What a difference it makes to have a bloke down there who can make a tackle stick. Got in Buddy's head early and well and truly destroyed him.

Swans and Hawks might just be fighting for the Spoon this season - you never know!!

Went along to the game just hoping for some improvement from last week. Was not expecting to win so very happy with the result.
Our tackling was great and we smashed them in the clearances.
Docherty was BOG with many not far behind, Simmo is back.
Pity there were not too many Carlton supporters there today.
Go blues.

Exactly my thoughts when I saw it, I can't understand why he wasn't reported. What he did was incredibly dangerous to Rowe, he's lucky he only hurt himself.

You talk sense Kouta. I thought the same, and said so (very quietly) to people around me. And how J Silvagni didn't get a free for the front-on charge that injured him is unbelievable.

That happened pretty much in front of me and I thought the same. He really leapt up at him intending to hurt.

Yes I thought Rohan's challenge was similar in intent to the one that Milburn did on SOS at PP that time.

I think the last time Buddy lost to Carlton was way back in 2005 (his first season) ....... may it continue
