I noticed in the post match thread that BV made similar comments about Murph's game tonight. The word 'putrid' was used. The silence in your challenging of his post was deafening...
And guess what, some examples (just for you) were cited.

Zero tackles. Didn't use it well. Just felt he didn't work as hard as usual. Didn't necessarily make him bad just not real good.

Maybe he was injured. Did not chase, poor tackles and too many poor decisions leading to turn overs. Watch the game - there were plenty of examples.

I would give Macreadie a spell. Play Weiters back and bring in KJ provided he keeps his form .
Kruezer back for Phillips
And get some form into Pickett in the 2's and play Gaaalllùucciii

It was deafing, really? He mentioned he thought his tackling efforts were putrid, at least he was specific, Ive pretty well challenged everyone to give examples. As usual Murphy put his head over the ball tonight, copped a heavy knock and finished the game on the bench. It wasn't his best game, but people singling him out tonight was pretty average.

Maybe a few of us expect a captain to lead by example more often that not. No, it is easy, but still needs to be done, if a player is good enough.

True. What specifically did you want him to do tonight that he didn't?
