There are positives, nice things from all of SPS, SOS, fisher, Williamson, polson, marchbank and plowman

Phillips has been disappointing

No reward for effort. So frustrating. So many chances wasted.

Captain needs to lift big time.

Happy with Charlie Curnow tonight. Williamson and Fisher have looked good as well.
Polson quiet to half time.

If he's meeting all the targets set by the match committee, it'd be nice to see him get a go.

Can you confirm he's doing everything they're asking him to do?

We will destroy Weitering at this rate, you don't use a No.1 pick on a swingman, he is and was recruited as a CHB. Drop Rowe or White/ prefer both to go and move him back.
Teaching a young team to play slow wide football is not a good long term plan. The game plan is shite.
Positives- The kids look great, C Curnow very good

It's a bit difficult right now for Weitering with the way we move the ball. He's going to need a run in defence again to get him going. Bring in Jaksch and let Weitering go back.

We just don't move the ball on quickly enough. By the time we go forward the forward line looks like a freeway during peak hour. We have pace in our side so we need to use it.

Absolute rubbish. Double edged sword these misses, so much effort for not little reward....bloody negative reward because the opposition can actually take advantage of 1 opportunity and we can't make from bloody 10. Deserves to be bloody ripped to shreds at half time.

Effort is there need encouragement. It's not like they set out to miss

Would be nice if Gibbs and Murphy would play with the same passion as Cripps.

Pat looks like the captain out there.

Don't think Marc has had one impactful, telling touch for two weeks

Sigh.

I know we keep saying we need to recruit mids, but what we really need to recruit is someone who can kick a ball. Doesn't matter if they're a ruck, yet another defender, whatever. I want someone who can take a mark 40m out and not start looking around for options because they're not sure about the distance.

I quite rated Phillips last year but tonight he's been a sorry sight. Veterans invisible - is Murphy playing? Wright, Simpson... not at the races. Daisy useless again... oh wait, he's not playing. I just saw guys scuffing 20m kicks and assumed he was out there.

Fisher showing some signs that he may be that guy who can kick a ball (we'll bring him back to our level). Rowe, Plowman doing well enough. Agree that Weitering will be ruined if we leave him up front all the time. Let White spend some time in forward 50 purgatory, give JW a chance to shine and maybe give us a kind of quarterback presence coming out of defence. He can kick a ball too.

Casboult LOL. Did he almost miss that shot from the top of the square? And that open kick from 40, classic. Fitting that he mongreled one in from 60m. That was the first Carlton goal I'd seen in the last two week, having sat through a 71-2 aggregate against in that time. What a way to break the duck.

Umpires - good to see some common sense on the deliberate OOB. They've been helping us out a bit, except when they let that left-footed guy cheat about 15 degrees on that boundary shot. Not that it'll make a blind bit of difference, we're going to be mullered.

Hey, give them a chance. Did you know Gibbs has had 4 tackles?

Phillips has been a liability all night. Stop kicking it to him, he isn't even trying to mark it

To me Jaksch is taking marks and kicking goals, kicks long and straight, seems to have an idea how to play forward so screw it, pick him. We need a true forward as Levi, while now starting to play some decent footy, is more a forward/ruck.

Murphy has had a good start to the year and his first half last week was very good , his last 2 halves havent been his best

And yet, there's a reason why they're not picking him.

Gibbs has been disappointing also, just shanking everything, kicking blind repeatedly. No burst to get clear and deliver. Looks disinterested to be honest

Doesn't really want contact from the opposition, but he's had 4 tackles in a half.
