We'll see. Like the selections though.
BTW Zac Fisher.. A bit of Wingard about him.

It's so great to see so many kids play. Bolton clearly wants the kids to get games under their belts asap and to grow together. It's no coincidence though these kids can actually play. We are not playing kids for the sake of it like we often did in the past. The kids have genuine talent and also it would appear mental fortitude as they don't seem to be getting too down. It's the best group of kids, and the biggest group of kids I can recall the club ever having. And I've been watching the Blues for nearly 40 years.

Ya great enthusiasm and excitment about the CFC , so refreashing .
The rebiuld is palpable, not too worried about wins or the losses, developing skills structures and game plan, obviously it's great when it all gels during a game and we bring home the points.
Patience let's savior the green shoots.
Exciting times ahead for Baggers, haven't been able to say that for such a long time.

All respect to Daisy. He was an exciting player in his prime, but injury has cruelled him. We all now realise that we got the bad end of that deal but that's the nature of trades and it's not Daisy's fault. We got a first rounder for Yazz and that didn't work out for Richmond either....you win some, you lose some. Daisy scored a good deal, had a bad run with injury (or came beyond repair), but did his best.

From all reports, they have placed a high regard on Daisy's leadership and premiership experience with the youngsters and I see this as valuable too, especially when he does have a lot of respect from the playing group. The standout issue is that his body just isn't letting him do his job and he doesn't hold his spot in the best 22 based on his form. He also isn't part of the future so we really shouldn't be playing him apart from the leadership point above.

We need leadership density and the club has stated they are developing that. Giving out extra responsibility on game day is an ideal opportunity for the next level of players coming through to cease the moment.

If Daisy has so much to offer in leadership and development, I suggest that we advise him that his value is no longer in playing for us, but to continue in a training/assistant role. He stays on the senior list this year so he gets his contract finalised, but will not be triggering another year. If this value is tangible, we could even offer him a role next year for some continuity. He can be there on game day, helping the team with leadership and guidance. We can have our cake and eat it too.

Either move him to long term injury so we can elevate someone (LeBois?, or JGM?), or he retires but is given a role as a trainer for the rest of the season.

I can see the curtain coming down on his career now. The club have cited soreness. This allows him to save face and retire on the preface of injury, as opposed to form. I'm disappointed we didn't get to see what he had to offer. It actually reminds me of watching Lance Whitnall at the end. You just knew that the footy brilliance was still in there, but the body couldn't do what the mind wanted to.

I can see Daisy's attitude is good and he provides good on-field leadership, apart from his failing body/skills.
I would like to see him continue this in an of-field capacity but only if he has genuinely become the all-round leader off the park that we need.
I know people who saw him 'partying' somewhat openly soon after arriving to the club when you would have thought he'd be putting everything into getting back to his best. I imagine he'd have grown out of that over the past few years but we have seen many players perform well on game day and provide good on-field leadership but not really set a great leadership example off the field.
I'd hope the club is fully aware one way or the other before making Daisy an off-field leader, in charge of guiding our young'ns.

If the plan is like this (below) , Bolts is a genius :

-Play first year kids as they fit and firing. Give them more than a taste of it, let them learn. They will tire and get niggles,
but can worry about that second half of the season in the NBs. Don't play older top ups as we know what they can do. No learning either side there.

-Play the more senior Kids in the NBs and instruct them on what's required and to toughen up. Bring the
them in second half of the season as the first years are falling away. (including some seniors for back up)

-End of the year we know who's a keeper and who isn't, but I am guessing we pretty much know that now.

That's what I always thought we should do, but rarely have we done it. I think we're seeing it now but we will have to wait and see

Go you good things

The line has blown out 20 points (bookies have the Port line at -52.5)

I have a feeling we will get pummelled but as long as our youngsters continue to show something I am not too fussed.

We may get flogged but it's all about seeing signs from individuals really.

Obviously winning is nice but shouldn't be expected
