Hope they play him.

Watching him last week he looked like an Murph but he's a bit more inside as well.

Out: Thomas (omitted) Macreadie (calf)

In: Polson Jaksch

Weiters goes back and KJ gets his chance as KF.

Sounds good to me.
We need to give Jaksch one final chance and I think Weiters would benefit from some time in defence.

Thomas out for no reason other than he is simply not up to it.

If one or any of Cripps Weitering or Macreadie are unfit rest don't kill them.

And let the MC determine who deserves a go. Personally I would like to see KJ and put Weiters back where he belongs. Has KJ got the goal scoring power we need.

They may have been playing Weiters forward while Phillips was out.

He may go back and leave Cas as the main target and run with two rucks.

With two rucks and Levi it is too cumbersome. Levi would be dropped and one ruck plays FF with another crumber.

I think they'll still want a big target to go with the rucks. Would likely be Harry/Levi or KJ.

I say this nearly every week, but if Weitering need a rest then I hope we give KJ a run.

Graham for Cripps if the Crippler needs a spell. Or possibly even Kerridge or Palmer (might be injured?) as I think we'll need a mature body. It might be one too many kids if we bring in Polson or Cunningham at this point.

And Smedts in for Thomas please.

The wife and I are going to this game, should be interesting sitting in a crowd full of chip on shoulder South Aussies. If Carlton should win (not much chance) I think it would be wise not to celebrate too loudly.

Is it a sellout?

Why not.

Teddy Jnr gave it to the entire EFC** cheer squad some years ago for the whole match. It was the famous MCG win in the wet when Fev scrubbed a kick to Houlihan who kicked a goal and celebrated with the chainsaw.

I thought we were going to die. Teddy Jnr was so loud and loathsome a couple of EFC** members actually moved from nearby. I couldn't shut him up. Thank goodness we won.

No

They're just not creative with their responses. I mean how original is it to be called a "spaghetti head" as I was several years ago while at a Port Carlton game.

Daisy to retire. Polson in, Gallucci promoted to the list.

That's my bet.

Dale Thomas reminds me at this stage of the last games of Lance Whitnall and Brad Fisher. Still had great footy smarts but certain bits just couldn't do what they used to do. He appears to be a professional with regard to training and his role as a senior player about he club.

My guess is the MC will opt for minimal changes to allow the current mix of older and newer players to continue to gel.

Polson and Gallucci both big chances to debut in coming weeks if form continues to build, but I suspect not this week.

Sheehan looks to be right up there as a possible 'in'.

KJ papers are signed. He won't be at Carlton in 2018.

Known.

Barring a massive miracle, nor will Daisy or Jones.

Easy to understand Jones and Daisy not being renewed. KJ less so when he seems to be performing quite well and have so much upside...

I wonder what he did?
