Graham has had his chances. Why people keep putting forward his name beats me. He is slow and extremely limited how and where he can play. Great VFL player but that is his level. We have moved on.

Because Graham (and possibly Kerridge) can play the contested ball role and Cripps is coming off no pre-season. He may need a break at some time.

Yes, we all want to see the newbies but not all mids is the same.

Probably right but it doesn't mean he may not need one during the season.

Pro: 9 gamer Carlie's advice to 1st gamer Fisher after his goal. Something along the lines of "you'll remember that goal for the rest of your life so forget it for now and refocus on the moment". It hit home for Fish as he listed the advice from Charlie as one of his biggest take aways from the day rather than the goal itself. If that's the attitude Charlie has and he's willing to lead others with that attitude then he will give himself every chance to go as far as he can as a footballer.

I can't wait until Byrne gets back. We need his speed and kicking to set up play.

I take full responsibility for this result. I watched 15 minutes of the game, during which the Suns outscored us 38-0. For the rest of the game we won 82-70. Sorry guys, I'll stick to my family duties next time.

Totally agree. One of kerridge, palmer or graham need to play every week this year and next to keep us competitive and take the load off murphy and Cripps. They are going to have bad disposal days but the benefit of protecting Cripps outweighs the cost. FWIW I wouldnt mind seeing Palmer in the stuart dew role for a few weeks. He could free up and protect the other forwards

Honestly, don't know what else I should have expected when we play an overly tall team against a team full of fast paced players. They cut us open starting with Adam Saad, I dont think anyone laid a finger on him all night.

Also, can someone explain why people were booing Ablett?
He's one of the greats of the game and who knows if we will see him play again live.

Saad was OK in the second half and he was tackled often in the first.

Booing Abblett? So what.

And yet when they cut us apart in the third it was largely because their forwards were too tall and strong for our defence. We have massive deficiencies in every area and have now had two games in the last three where a mostly creditable performance has been undone by a 15-20 period of total decimation. We're going to have to work twice as hard as every opponent for every minute of every game because the weapons at our disposal are simply not up to scratch yet. Some pieces are coming together though.

That was because there smalls were breaking us open and they were getting one on ones and getting hit lace out.

We play 1 shit quarter every game since the Ratten days.
These senior players never change. The sooner they are gone the better.

Not sure it's got anything to do with senior players just at the moment.

Watch the second half of the third quarter again. It's the senior players who had the lapse. Still happy with the overall team effort.
