Excited to see Williamson. Dash and penetrating kick. Hope we see some of it. For whatever reasons his YouTube highlights stood out among our recruits.

Armfield out is welcome. Good guy but made errors v the dees.

I think it will be,
INT :
Charlie Curnow - Harrison Macreadie - Jarrod Pickett - Tom Williamson.

Three to be omitted are, Biile Smedts , Harry Mckay & Rhys-Palmer.

I reckon Smedts, Palmer and Pickett will end up being selected - not sure who will be the other player however you'd think it is highly unlikely to be McKay.

Mckay in would be a good approach if Rowe is a late withdrawal. This would allow Weitering to play back, and Mckay to play FF. If Rowe does play, then Mckay could replace C.Curnow who needs a couple of weeks in the reserves. What I see and really appreciate, is these kids getting exposure. I'd definately want to see Williamson played also... but not sure how that would work with team balance. I also think that Smedts showed enough to justify another game. He will be better for it.

I'd run with Macreadie, Smedts, Pickett, McKay

Palmer replaces Cripps if he is a late withdrawal
Williamson replaces Rowe if he is a late withdrawal. (Weiters goes back, Mckay plays forward and Williamson enters a rotation through the HB line. Simmo rotates through HB and onto the wing in a secondary role, and Docherty rotates through HB and the midfield/wing in his secondary role).

Reckon Rowe will be a withdrawal, Weitering will go back & McKay will debut.

If Cripps is withdrawn, Palmer may come in.

Palmer in. Only one of McKay/Willo in dependant on weather.

This leaves Willo to miss unless Thomas misses with knee soreness.

No love lost between those two.

They'd only go to the other's funeral just to make sure he's dead.

I think McReadie is safe for the time being. He is doing enough and his confidence will improve.
McKay most unlikely.
Interesting that KJ still isn't in contention despite kicking a few in the NB.

KJ has to persist and he'll get an opportunity. Harry is the shiny new toy so the coaches want to give him a bit of encouragement which is understandable.
Based on VFL form Harry doesn't deserve promotion yet so I suspect he'll be playing VFL again. But a bit of bait on the end of the hook won't hurt him.
KJ has been the most consistent forward this pre-season so if he continues his form for another week or so, he'll force his way into the team. He just needs to persist and not get disheartened.

Ok I'll say it... it's absolute bullshit KJ hasn't had a look in this season so far.

The rain could be an equaliser in this one, but our only shot is that we have to want it more than they do. Unfortunately, recent performances against them have shown this not to be the case.

When we see them, we see just another team we can hopefully do well against. When they see us, they see an opportunity to further humiliate and hurt us.

If our team hated them as much as we supporters do, recent history may be much different.

If it's going to be wet I reckon that might cancel Macreadie and McKay out.

Charlie C. to get a rest too.

Smedts, Palmer, Pickett and Williamson on the bench.

nah ... they've asked him (mid last season) to meet his kpi's for 5 consecutive games. whatever the coaching kpi's are, he hasn't strung 5 games on the bounce getting them done.

once he does he'll see a-grade time.

Interesting and reasonable.
I posted on his thread that every time his name gets mentioned to one of the coaches, they say,
"He knows what he has to do."
I assume he knows what he has to do and can't do it.

Yes it would be reasonable, if it were actually true.

Disagree - think McKay might come in for Rowe; Weitering goes to defence, Harry goes forward.
I don't think a bit of rain (e.g. showers) affects selection at all unless the forecast is for absolute pissing rain.
