IMO nothing to do with the fact he's never played AFL... I just look at what we are doing. Forget scuttlebutt, rumour and speculation

I dont think he is a very good coach opinion

I'd hate to play in his environment , too much cliche and classroom bullshit. opinion

I can imagine a lot of players being over it and tuning out. wild statement

Those Journey videos are cringeworthy. opinion

Our team selections are shit stated as fact

Our skills arent improving stated as fact

Our game tactics are questionable stated as fact

Simple things like having every player up in a marking contest with nobody staying down continues to happen all the time blaming coach?

Continue to see all players sucked in too deep at congestion so we get killed on the outside. blaming coach?

Its the same stuff over and over again comment about ?

We aren't improving as a unit and any improvement we may see is due to an injection of better naturally talented players. is that good or bad?

yeah its early days but i'm not liking what i'm seeing.

A bit harsh on Bolton.

You have to be in the inner sanctum to know half the stuff you're saying.

jimmae use to present opinions as facts. It isn't helpful nor accurate imo.

Give the guy a break.

@ years in a row everyone suggests we have the worse list in the AFL. How is that BBs fault? He's caning out the joint, changing the culture and the kids come in with the skills they have which usually take a few years to develop and youre expecting them to be senior footballers with all the smarts and expertise as a 100 game player. They're kids.

Don't belt yourself up along with poor BB.

It is a journey. I know opposition fans who like The Journey. Its an insight, and I'd rather have it than not.

If you have ever had the opportunity to see the benefits of the journey to the young recruits you would not be so quick to criticize.

I'll remember to put IMO after everything I wrote from now on.

Just in case it's never clear that what I am writing would naturally be my opinion.

Outstanding coach, coming from a long way back, terrific for the club. Wouldn't take anyone else including last year's premiership coach

Bolton got about as much as he could from the talent on the park. I would like to see Harry Mckay or even jaksch in place of Casboult

I hear you Jezz, but who is going to give Kruezer a chop out?

McKay is still young and light on, I wouldn't want him in the Ruck yet!

Rowe is a ruckman

casboult is worth more than rowe. takes a contested grab and holds his own in the ruck.

for the love of god, play weitering at the back, and bring in mckay or jacksh or a pillow case filled with sand and painted on eyes and drop either rowe or white.

weitering is a natural defender on their best and could be the best in the league at some point ... but playing him up front in a forwardless, structureless system with poor to no delivery cannot be good for weiter's development.

Look Cas could kick 4 this week but he was that bad against melbourne. Just not breaking even in too many contests. If he plays like that - out. Ruck Rowe or play phillips and kreuzer. If caz is going to kick 1 goal a game whats the loss?

Surprised it took this long.

I thought things were going pretty well.

Im not sure what people want from his pressers, he doesn't say anything because he hasn't got much he can divulge.

This is a rebuild and one that is trying to be accomplished without 100 point thrashings.

As for playing the kids, you'll see every one worth his pay in a short period of time.

Some of the things grro said we're right, some were wrong IMO.
Some I agreed with, some I didn't.

Not sure it warranted that type of reaction though. He's entitled to his opinion, and he's not the type that repeats it in every second thread.

He gets points for bravery from me. We were coming from a long way back in a lot of respects and we're at least 2 drafts away from having being at the bottom of our cycle - IMO ;)

Bolts will be here this year and most likely next. What I'm looking for is the list management decisions over the course of the year that indicate that we are embracing a rebuild (sorry, turn on the spin, reset) and will over the course of the year give experience to the kids and drop senior guys who won't be here next year. I'd rather lose by a lot trying to build for the future quicker, than have small losses with big bodies.

History says that Bolts will be extremely fortunate to be our next premiership coach. It might just be the next guy who benefits from the work of this year and the next.
