Highlight of the day was Thomas marking and Dennis kicking that goal. Both copping an absolute pasting from the crowd

Strange game... to me it looks like our players are more concerned about standing in the right spots rather than reading the game

Once again we seem to be severely outnumbered at most contests. Can't cop that.

Where are our players and what are they doing?

Desperately need him to show some spark. Hopefully that mark might help.

Half time and I'm really trying to see something positive about this team. There's nothing.

Only thing they've done all game. Armfield is past it, needs to be playing out his days in the reserves.

very different holding the ball/incorrect disposal today than on Friday - and it tends to cost us. Defense much better set up - even though there are still times the dees open us up. More often they have to find another path. Not sure if we are getting much value with wieters up forward - most goals from either roved scrubber kicks or free players. pickett and sps seem to be the only players who can dodge and weave and then open things up. Kruze running hard. Need more from gibbs and charlie. But happy to be within 10 points.

I'm quite happy with our game to this point. Lots to like, lots to not like, but we are only 10pts down.

That's an interesting point and I reckon there's something to it.

It looks like a zone type game plan and we're not quick enough to move to the ball yet. That should come with time.

They have more and better mids that know where to run

Armfield white and Daisy liabilities really we get nothing from them
Lucky to be 10 points behind
Being killed around the packs
Disposal sloppy again

I reckon Smedts is doing ok SPS and Pickett promising
Curnow Ed doing better tagging
Free kicks diabolical umpire won't give us a HTB

How can Melbourne get so many possessions if our game plan is working

Also the tackling efforts are disappointing given the amount of Dees disposal
Also any danger of starting a quarter well
Do something novel kick the first couple of goals

Yep it's that blond ump that looks about 15. I think he had Garry Lyon posters on his wall as a kid.

We had him a few times in preseason. Makes lots of mistakes and doesn't understand what players do to milk free kicks ie dropping knees when tackled to bring tackler down in the back.

Only one. Just 10pts down.

Goes two ways. Improve and you never know. Or, the more likely, fall further behind.

Unfortunately it'll probably be enough to keep them both in the team next week.

SPS and Pickett showed good signs again. Marchbank.

I think the overall disposal is better than last week. But that could just appear that way because we've had less of the ball
