From; Ed Kerridge Armfield Graham
Casboult Thomas White are local footy worthy.
Armfield, Graham and Kerridge are good for local footy also, unfortunately can't play all the kids.

Can't see why Buckley, Cunningham, Boekhusrt, Jaksch and Sumner can't get games....they aren't 1st year kids and need to be played.

Out of those maybe Cunningham or Buckley come in.

Bratwurst Jakesh and Barney Sumner have either been injured or not good enough to get games.

Mind you I'm not up on their vfl form

So actually this is the opposite of tanking, trying to field a more experienced side to be more competitive

We know we can't win with such players. They have been found out more often then we would like to admit. They aren't up to it and butcher the footy. They cannot play the game. They aren't going to win us games. We know that. Let's see the green shoots and make some calls on some other kids as well. Why are wasting time with anyone or any other plan.

Believe me - I never thought I would ever say that but.....

Maybe we are worried the kids might start winning and get some confidence.

So Macredie, Marchbank, SPS and Pickett are getting another game - only two in a row but its semblance of building consistency and giving them the opportunity to get more senior experience. Curnow gets another senior game and Mckay might make his debut. Then you have the next tier of "youth" in Cripps, Weitering, Docherty, SOJ. That makes 9 or 10 kids or young potential future players being selected.

How many more can we expose without potentially ruining our "balance" and/or their confidence? I understand what you are saying with White etc, but not sure that we can introduce too much youth for now.

It is easy to bag some of the older players that might not be the greatest of players and demand they should be dropped, but the young kids also need on field leadership which some of the stalwarts provide.

Rowe punching the ball directly to opposition crumbers instead of marking it
White giving away freekicks and/or 50m penalties
Daisy letting his direct opponent run free or making unrushed kicks directly to the opposition
Armfield trashing the ball whenever he gets hold of it
E. Curnow wasting all his gut-running by turning the ball over with each disposal

Is this the leadership we need ?

GWS played kids for years and now reaping the rewards.
On field leadership, yep he plenty of that.
McKay should be playing whilst Casboult is there to take the big defender.
Fisher, Polson and Williamson all in time.
Just a pitty we have so many average players.
At least Bolts is playing kids, its a start.
We all agree Thomas, White etc are no good.

Apart from Daisy they are all recruited from the State Leagues so it sums up why nobody else wanted them. Best part is we went back to the State Leagues and drafted Boekhurst with a first round pick :banghead:
