There are a couple of aspects in our game plan that worry me right now. The main is the handball out the back to give us extra time. We seem to be over using this option to the extent our players are running behind play at every opportunity to receive. We have already seen Melb & now Saints line up forward of the contest and pressure the back (forward for them) to apply for the turn over. Bolton needs to address this in a week!!

Agree with Taff 100 per cent , recruiting up until last year and this year has been appalling, we have got a few more years of pain but you can see a small light at the end of the tunnel , I have been a blue boy for 50 years and will never give up on them , a blue for life , this is my first post ever , hope to have a few more this year

typical of some carlton supporters to start questioning the coach after one season and a couple of practice game losses.
it will be very interesting to see how the club responds during season proper when the inevitable heat comes from media and supporters alike.
i for one think we have been pretty clear for a change in the direction we are going in...this is evidenced in the addition of 30 new players in 2 seasons and the most players aged <21 on any list.
let's hope we stay the course and give Bolton and co a good crack at it.

Why can't people objectively question an employee of the club?

I don't like supporters indiscriminately bagging him and I personally don't like getting stuck into the coach until he's well into his third year, but it doesn't mean supporters can't seek clarification for tactics and decision making in the meantime.

Congrats on breaking your duck Tassie

Couldn't agree more on the terrible recruiting of previous years. There's a long list of terrible picks. Upwards and onwards.....

In Patrick Smith's opinion.

In the real world people understand that Bolton took over a team that needs an awful lot of work.

you can't have it both ways - if you agree with smith on his Essendon* commentary you cannot discount his opinion on bolton as not being a real world opinion - just because he criticizes bolton

Of course you can have it both ways!!

They are two completely different opinions about two completely unrelated subjects...

As a matter of fact, I thought it was hilarious ..... and total bullshit. You stick to footy and leave logic to the experts. What you said is logically incorrect, an invalid argument, makes no sense. It's the equivalent of:
- Any dog has 4 legs more than no dog
- No dog has 6 legs
- Therefore any dog has 10 legs.

The logic is inescapable. Tell me what the flaw is.
