So is it a rebuild when the coach says it is or when the board says it is, or when some guy on an Internet forum says it is?
Do rebuilds only start on draft day or on match day?
I don't think we're rebuilding, really we've just been renovating for the last 20 years....

So you were wrong saying we're 44 games into a rebuild. Very wrong.
I wasn't wrong, I think we're 16 years into a rebuild. I was just trying to remember the latest propaganda from the club about where we are in a rebuild.

You can't judge Bolts, SOS & Trigg on what happened before they started. Round 1 2017 will be Bolton's 23rd game as Carlton coach. Considering the mess he inherited, it will take years to get us back into contention. The path we have taken is the right one, but requires lots of patience.
There's still lots of pain to go through. Unfortunately, I think that's only starting to dawn on some Carlton supporters.
This is the first proper rebuild we've ever had, IMO. We should have done this at least 10 years earlier.
There's no guarantee it will work. There's no guarantees for any long term plan. But we must stay the course this time.
Has Trigg only been at the club one year? What about Mackay? Should I mention the board?
Still lots of pain to go through? You mean worse than the last 15 years? Seems to me it's still lots of "the same" to go through

I don't expect much success for quite a while yet even if we are really changing. I've been a member for many years so don't try to BS me that "this time it will be different" and "be patient".
I've accepted that the club is a rabble, how can I not when my nose has been forcefully rubbed in it for the last 15 years. The sooner we all accept that reality and temper our expectations the better.
Why do I keep paying my membership and watching games? Probably because I'm a stubborn old bastard and I do hope that one day the club will turn itself around.
Are you saying "once a rabble, always a rabble"? If so, why don't we just give up and hand the keys in now?
Last year's premiers are just one example of a club turning itself around after years of failure.
Whatever. Keep blaming SOS, Bolton & Trigg for the past 15 years if that makes you feel better.
Im not blaming those guys, I'm saying that it will take more than that trio to turn the rabble, sorry, club around based on the last 15 years.
As mentioned in another thread I'm becoming resigned to the bitter fact that I may never live to see number 17.
