Bolton is great at developing kids into better kids.
Bolton isn't great at developing kids into footballers.

Words straight from a former players mouth today.

Does not mean that ex-player is right. Too early to tell given the mess he inherited.

How bad must jakche, sumner and le bouis be if they can't get a game in front of Thomas white and jones. Would love to see the photos.......then again.

Pre-season expectations successfully recalibrated. Good to go for season proper.

I'm not saying the player is right. Just thought I'd share what he had to say.

Didn't even bother watching the 2nd half. How did Cripps pull up? Him getting through unscathed is about the only positive from today.

Fair enough. Like to think Bolton will be successful in both aspects.

I don't think jakche is as good as Jaensch.

Le Bouis would be good in a Limerick with Tuohy and Louis.

In fact, Le Bouis might be one of Donald Duck's nephews.

Good thing is we were awful in the practice match series last year and had a good first half of the year.

Did you think we'd win today?

Was Carrige our "very good" Adelaide player Mosche?

OMG Graham has kicked a goal... I now have hope.....We are the real deal

Actually what I like about that wasn't Graham's goal but how Harry McKay was a cool as a cucumber the way he held back that handpass.

No Harry was too scared to handball 15m initially because he doubted he could get the ball anywhere close to Graham

and if this is true, then his decision making overcame the limit of his skill execution to produce a goal. It still couldn't be seen as a fault, I wouldn't have thought. Certainly many other things stood out today.... Did like McKay's intensity around the packs, his chase, and his ability at ground level. Would love to see him clunk a couple. Not bad for 3 practice matches in his career thus far. I think he has something.

Go Blues

Was the result vastly different to what you thought it would be?

If that is true, then we need to know why Paul Roos and John Worsfold both had no interest at all in the senior coaches role at Carlton. I'm happy for us to rebuild the whole club all over again if it will mean sustained success.

But i do not think this is necessary. I think any short comings that Bolts might have would be mitigated by having Neil Craig watching over his shoulder.

Today's performance sure is concerning though.
