10 gone from the primary list.

That's another heavy pruning.

Only 4 Carlton draftees remain from the 2009-2014 national drafts.

28 players gone since the end of the 2015 season.

Wow, that really hits home in just home much of a diabolical shape our list was in at the end of 2015, and how disgraceful our recruiting and drafting was under Hughes/Rodgers.
With list cloggers and average foot soldiers like Casboult, White, Rowe, Jacksh and Graham still on our list, we still have a year of list pruning to go until the list totally takes shape.

Extremely happy with the list management by SOS and Bolts. They are under no illusions of the position we are in.

Going to be a very young team on the park next year, and it's fantastic.

I dare say that would be the worst drafting performance of any AFL club during this period.

Is it any wonder we have gone down the GWS route during the past few years.

Not sure if SOS is going to go to this well one more time. :?

Agree good to have a young team and list and have list that is more balanced - list is shaping up if Rowe Jaksch Graham Casboult are no certainties to go into 2018 as I genuinely think all have some contribution to make and all should be serviceable AFL players

List young and raw and dare I say it has potential - much better placed than 24 months or 12 months ago

A lot will depend on this years draftees - if we're going to draft six, we will definitely need a better strike rate - history says we are up against it.

So far we have lost 6 players from primary list, Smith, Dick, Foster, Jamison, 1AW and Tuohy

Vs

Possible 10 inclusions being 4 new players Marchbank, Palmer, Pickett and Smedt plus picks 5, 25, 48, 63, 66 & 70

So that is possibly another 4 delistings without any rookie upgrades.

Who goes?

Update: 10 now out of the primary list and 4 inclusions, so we will use picks 5, 25, 48, 63, 66 & 70. If Byrnes is upgraded to the primary list then no use for 70 or if we pick up a DFA.

That's assuming we get a good strike rate from these last two years of trades. I am not sure we are going to go at 100% if you lok at Jacksh, for example, Gorringe, Tutt, Whiley. If we can do it in another year SOS will have done well.

This draft is possibly opur most important ever. We just have to nail three or four of the six or seven picks.

I believe we only had 39 on the senior list this season. We can have 40. We may well upgrade Byrne and still take 6 picks in the draft.

In addition to Everitt, Whiley, Tutt, Viojo-Rainbow have been delisted.

Rookies Gallucci and Gowers delisted but still training with club seeking being re-rookied.
