I must say I am better for coming down and meeting some of the guys.

Last time I played football was when I was 14 and played in the Swans Little League..... Yes Sydney. I was in their recruitment zone.

It's great to be able too have a decent kick with the guys, and let my left foot work that Sherrin.

Anyway hope I can translate some of those set shots and kicking into a "Something Blue" performance on the day.

All in all as much as it will be fun, once we cross that white line the Blue Bagger will need to be switched on.

Watching some of the HHQ v Saintsational Game yesterday I noticed, and so did some others that there was some FINE support for the sainters there.

So lets spread the word and get down too the Lexus Centre and see us roll the dice and see what happens.

One thing is for sure, we will not be disappointed....

Go the Blue Boys.

PS - PJ Lets revisit the list of those confirmed too play and some thoughts on positions maybe, so that we have 75% set up on the day we arrive.

A small brainstorm over the next two weeks maybe?? Just a thought so we have fewer hiccups on the day.... :-D

PPS - How many left footers do we have in the team, we have too hold up our "Dominator" tradition :?:

I tell you what though, give him 2 years and I reckon we'll have James Bond Jnr lining up for us. The kid has a fair bit of skill. Was nailing goals all over the place like the rest of us.

I'd like to say it's in the genes but....

PJ, Just spoke to JB Jnr & bro and they would like to be runners on the day and carry out water to the boys as needed during the game. Do you want them to?

Excellent, Jimmy. We'd love to have them down at the game.

Barnesy, yeah I've been meaning to bring up the list of guys who have said they would play. There are a few people who have yet to post in this thread yet and I'm not sure whether they are playing or not. Guys like Barrel, Italian Styles, Barone etc etc Should sort itself out soon.

Can't read that post on SS. What's the gist of it or could someone copy and paste it in this thread?

Need to generate some interest from TC for the forum match as Barnesy said. I'd like to see a big turn out to the game. If HHQ and SS can pull a crowd like they did yesterday, surely we should be able to pull a crowd just as big if not bigger. I mean it is Collingwood after all.

The final team will be announced on the day of the game. But I have a fair idea of who will be playing where etc etc

Basically Barks4eva is trying too organise a Saintsational BBQ day / Picnic day at the game on the 18th.

They can talk too Collingwood about their own forum game, and have the chance too bag the shit out of us and Collingwood.

They may get a few turn up.

MOMENTUM is building...

I sent you a private message PJ but maybe we could look at getting the mods too display the banner promoting the game at the top of the page on the right hand side of the TALKING CARLTON banner..

Just until the day.

We need too continually make people aware, and feel that they could be missing out, as opposed too "too much of an effort"...

Got your PM, Barnesy.

Have sent a PM to Camelboy and he is looking into it with Bluechucky.

Shouldn't be a problem I'd imagine.

Just a suggestion if all players that have not played before or past players want to play in a diff possie, could you state a position you'd like to play in. Just to make it easier for our coaching panel.

i'm just an all round gun really.

i'm actually prettty well happy to play anywhere, but i used to be a small forwad poket type or a winger/on baller.

but i haven't played in so long, as long as i'm on someone the same size as me i will be happy.

i wouldnt mind being part of the mdifield rotation (depending on how big the opposition is) but i wouldn't have me in there as the starting 3 or 4.

maybe if i played 5 minutes each quarter on the ball and the rest as a forward or back pocket or on the bench?

Preferred position for me is half forward flank/wing but I'm just as happy
to play anywhere for the team, as long as we beat that black and
white trash.
I can even sabotage their change rooms if you want me to.
Oops, hope I haven't broken any counter terrorism laws

Hey all,

I have some bad news. Myself, Daniel and Rob are all declared unavailable for the 18th.

My story is a bit of a shitter, both of my grandparents on the same side are literally on their death bed and we've put the 18th aside to spend some time with them as it is most likely going to be the last time we get to see them.

Daniel has triathlon season coming up and doesn't want to mess up his knee (had 2 recos) and miss out on the season.

My other mate Rob was in but has been given a free holiday to Fiji leaving on 17th so he'd rather take than footy.

So its a bit of a bummer but hey that's life. Don't mean to let anyone down, and apologies if I (we) have.

Haven't let us down at all, Justin.

Sorry to hear about your grandparents.
