Bit harsh. Thought a 5 at a minimum was reasonable

Did you miss the last 11 games
A 5 rating would put you on the edge of the 8

Let's pick at straws:

1st half of the season: 7 out of 10
2nd half of the season: 3 out of 10 (there were 3 solid games against eagles/swans/hawks)

Average over 2 halves = 5

Seriously, I reckon he would make a great on field forward coach for the kids a la Stevie J and just maybe off field as well.

Thoughts?

0.09%
63.5%/2 = rating of 3.17

I can see the value. Specially since he wouldn't cost anything.

This would be a smart move. Can't see any youngster (Buckley???) That he would be competing against. Win win for all.

Hopefully Boomer was asking for SOS's advice for life after football. We dont want another club's records game holder legend on a pension plan taking up a spot we can use to blood kids. Well done for a great career Boomer but we dont want to be the embarrassment at the end of his illustrious career (AKA Mick McGuane etc)

SOS's blueprint with GWS was to draft kids and surround them with veterans. A lot of the guys originally traded in or signed by GWS have gone but arguably served their purpose (think Chad Cornes, James McDonald, Luke Power).

It wouldn't surprise if he looked at Boomer. I don't want him though.

Thanks for that.

I was just thinking about the empirical numbers and bingo this.

I would given the performance a min 5 considering the emotion and surprise they mustered from everyone.
Blues were to be a 2 or 3 / 10 before the season, and by mid season, before Saints, IMO we were an 8-9/10 given expectations.

With a bit of luck, like we had going for us earlier in the year, we could have snatched the 3 close ones to top 8 teams Eagles, Swans and Hawks in the 2nd half.

If Boomer has a playing/Assistant coach role (playing part only for a year) then I'm ok with it. As a mentor he could be very handy to any of our young players.

If he's coming as purely a player then definitely no.

lol Martyn was the first name that came to my mind.

Wouldn't be against it. Wouldn't cost anything and I'm sure some of our players could learn something about preparation and work rate from him.

I'd trade Ginbs and Kruezer end of 2017 and load up on the 2017 draft

Yet we keep Casbolt as a list clogger. Your argument has holes.

Can't see anyone pushing for a spot in a role that Harvey would play.

I'd much rather develop Gallucci in the small forward spot
