A shame KJ couldn't do enough to retain his spot in the side. Hopefully he get a block of 3-4 games to show weather he has the goods or not.

Swans

IN
Isaac Heeney, Harry Cunningham, Jordan Foote, Xavier Richards
OUT
Ben McGlynn (Omitted), Jarrad McVeigh (Groin), Zak Jones (Ankle), Ted Richards (Omitted)
NEW
Jordan Foote

McVeigh usually has a day out against us, so that is a positive

One key forward only again. We're zero from 9 when we've done that and got over 10 goals twice. We're not quick learners there.

Does this mean Jakcsh is done?
Or, is it possible, it is a teaching moment from BB: "...OK, Kristian, you know what we were asking of you and how you need to be able to nail it in the VFL. We gave you a shot in the seniors and you see how tough it is to perform under the intense pressure at this level. Now, go back and show us how much you really, really, really want this. If you do, you have the tools. If you don't, then we are wasting each other's time and preventing someone who really wants a shot from getting one...."

Wouldn't have minded seeing Weitering rested and Jaksch get another run.

Jaksch wasn't very good forward. Charlie Curnow showed more. Jaksch was bit better in defence however Sydney have Buddy with one of Naismith/Callum Sinclair or even Xavier Richards. Weitering/White/Rowe/Plowman is already enough. There isn't a matchup for Jaksch in defence. Sydney go quite small up forward. Rohan/Papley/Hewett/Towers/Heeney are threats.

Watch for Hewett doing the McLean/Christensen manoeuvre.

As if we are going to beat them anyway

Very unlikely Carlton will win however Swans have 7 players each with under 20 games experience.

Yep, I'd say that was something like the BB message to him

Phillips has been playing as a key forward.

happy about bb, hard for kj to gain confidence unless reassured it is part of a plan.

Most ruckmen generally have no idea whatsoever how to play key forward unfortunately. Our's fall into that category.

Phillips is coming along nicely IMO.

We know he's coming along well as a ruckman but they are not key forwards. That's why our ruckmen are generally useless when they are not on the ball.
