Difficult to predict the final 22. Many interesting possibilities...

Happy for Everitt and Bryne to make way for Armfield (missed him around goals) and Buckley (at least for some speed off half back!)

It's supposed to be wet on Sunday. That could influence selections.

At least Everitt is on the interchange so he is a possibility not being in the final 22.

Everitt is on the extended bench.

One of the talls/3rd talls may be dropped late given conditions.

Not much else to take their places.

Yeah! Lappin and Houlihan wouldn't get a sniff these days.

Are you kidding? Lappin was like Simpson the way he competed and we haven't had a player with Houla's outside skills since he left.

Once again, I'm a fan, but I'd drop him and give Gorringe another run. This would ultimately be Charlie Curnow's spot when he get's fit, if Gorringe can't hold it.

Casboult may be little other than an amazing mark but its one improvement on Gorringe, who has no redeeming features.
Casboult is running around on one leg and still offering far more than Gorringe did. At least Casboult has some physicality about him.

I suspect some posters are throwing the baby out with the bathwater after a couple of losses. Making 6 changes in one week is well over the top.
Unfortunately we missed some easy shots at goal against the Pies and we lost a bit of momentum. But if you look back over our season, our excellent accuracy has actually given a bit of false hope. In 4 of our wins, we've had equal or less scoring shots than the opposition. Our ability to convert was our saviour in a few games.

We're still a poor side looking to slowly improve. The system of play is excellent but our list is going to take a number of years to improve significantly.
We shouldn't be too reactive and throw it all out the window when we have a poor performance.

Thanks for replying to my post. I visit here all the time to get opposing views so I appreciate it! The redeeming feature I see in Gorringe is that he has upside. He's only 24 and has played 26 games. While I agree that Casboult offers more in the short term, I think we all know that he has probably hit his ceiling, and I'm not interested in the short term anyway. I am interested in the slow improvement that you refer to, and agree it'll take a number of years to get there. But I don't think it'll happen on the back of the same senior players that have reached there potential already, and failed to take us where we want to be. I guess the challenge is to know who can improve, and who won't. If Bolt's thinks he can improve Levi's kicking, then I'm all for keeping the big man. Not continuing with Sav Rocca (or a replacement) says to me that they didn't want to go down that path.

You may well be right that 6 changes is counter-productive. I'm not going to say I wasn't frustrated after last weeks performance, but I guess I was reflecting on how I would approach the rest of the year. This was not just off the back of one poor performance, but how I would move forward with our list.

Lastly, I'm watching with anticipation, to see what happens with the extended bench. Not ruthless enough, but I'm excited to see SOJ again this week.

GO BLUES

Pretty sure it's only going to be one change and that's Armfield in for Byrne.
