that has never happened

Yep, not since the Fev days.

Man I loved watching Fev leading out at 100%, arms out stretched and marking one grab above his head.

Say what you want about him, but he was bloody good and exciting to watch...and you didn't have to cringe while he was kicking through the ball like our currents forwards.

And he was good with the kids!!!!

no pressure....
mind you his first game was always going to be about expectations. Good to get it out the way in a season where not much is on the line.

Alternatively he might love the challenge - bring it on!

Firstly, BV's points: Kreuzer could be used as a hit up target through transition

A hit up target through transition? What does that mean?

Transition is the change of play from a defensive structure to an offensive structure and vice versa.
Moving the ball and kicking it to Kruezer is general play. Stating it is through transition is trying to make something simple sound very complicated.
Kruezer is often used as a tall target through general play but he rarely takes the mark. Saying it is "through transition" doesn't make him any more effective or any more valuable.
I love him as a player but he needs to offer more as a tall.

Players who are versatile and give you their best every week are more valuable than players who turn up when they feel like it and then give you 100% in little cameos.

100% of 6 is worth more than 60% of 9

We should only select players that offer 110%......

I'm excited. Silvagni's in, Tutts out. Sounds like a Kiwi porno.

We should only select players that offer hitup targets through transition

I've been secretly hoping Silvagni is one of those players

Rather than throwing sosos to the pies..why not try the wonder ful Weitering up forward.

no, just no.

lets not turn weitering into a basketcase by ripping him out of a position where he's our best player and putting him somewhere where even in juniors, he's played limited time there.

you don't take a 9 out of 10 chb, and throw him forward. we did it to henderson and both his forward and defensive game ultimately suffered. this and even next season are about resetting, rebuilding and consolidating what we have and filling holes where we don't have anything.

we need patience and draft picks ... no need to throw wetiers to the lions.

SOS (not SOSOS) was FB of the century and he still kicked more than 200 goals. A far less talented guy was a handy swingman for West Coast and played in a premiership team and his name was Adam Hunter. Does Weitering have some sort of allergy to the forward line or something?

it's the kid's first year ... let him play it out where he's comfortable and reads the play like no one else can on the list.

DVR must be thinking he has half a year of football left at Carlton..

Graham has been stiff, KJ i thought could have given us another option up forward.

But SOJ being in gives us so much more than any of them, watch how good this kid is at using his body one of one and being able to shield his body to take a chest mark. We just have to get the ball in quick and fast to him in a one on one situation if the ball hits the ground he is a one touch player and this is why he will be as good as Gunston in years to come.

With the way he plays he could have a bad day and still kick 2 goals.. I think he could be the 50 goal a year third tall we need. Is clever enough to play midfield, quick hands always brings pressure.

Jack is going to be a player. There is no doubt about it.
