However i thought Bucks may have been ahead of Tutt but again i can understand why they made this decision.

Was really hoping KJ would get a go, i really don't think Bolts thinks to highly of him and Mckay and Curnow would be his preference ahead of him right now.

To be honest, Buckley hasn't done anything this year to deserve a game ahead of Tutt, who is very consistent at VFL level and provides us more whenever he has played AFL.

Buckley needs to step it up, pressure is on the next few months.

With Bucks its not about talent or effort because he has both in spades, i agree he needs to step it up and really take his game to the next level. I'm hopeful he will

It's like for like Surrey. Speed + effort replaces speed + effort. Ruck replaces 'ruck'.

We all know Tutt is a stop gap measure along with a few others in the team.
We need these types at this stage of the rebuild.

Agree. Talent and effort have to translate eventually, that's what he need to deliver on.

Has Tutt had a run with the new system? Might turn out to be his go.

Was there any doubt Phillips would get selected?

Brains cells can't be that hard to come by.

Out: Gorringe (hip)

Not omitted.

The hip injury occurred when he was bumped out of the team...

Soooooo much cognitive dissonance.

We'll soon see if Gorringe tips Phillips out of the team when his "hip" recovers.
I'm tipping the answer is no.

Settle down, he's not some sort of permanent fixture. He'll come back via the VFL, but I thought he was developing nicely and this is a set back for him.

The goal here is pretty much that: goals. If the Phillips/Kreuzer combo can deliver more to improve scoring margins in our favour, then more power to Phillips, but the body of evidence suggests not, nor does Phillips ruck or contested marking ability.

Gorringe isn't a great ruck or contested mark either, but his ability to take a grab was improving, and his skills mean that he scores more goals, and doesn't disappear when the ball hits the deck.

Settle down.

Settle down?
I know you occasionally see yourself victimised on TC Jim but condescending crap like that is the reason some posters bite at you. I believe Gorringe was gone whether he had an injury or not. You obviously don't.
Neither of us know for sure. Don't be taken aback that I had the temerity to disagree with you. Your views are guesswork, like the rest of us. There's no additional certainty attached to your comments, even though you phrase them like there is. I'm just offering an differing opinion.

I know one thing for sure and that is when Gorringe goes into the ruck we get smashed in clearances.
